It seems there are increasing reports of fire balls coming in from around the world lately. Here is an interesting fire ball article from Brazil which happened the 18th of last month in full daylight. There is a Video link

Galactic dust storm enters Solar System

This article might explain some of the fire ball activity we are begining to see.

The Sun's shifting magnetic field is set to focus a decade-long storm of galactic dust grains towards the inner Solar System, including Earth.

The effect this will have on our planet - if any - is unknown. But some researchers have speculated that sustained periods of cosmic dust bombardment might be related to ice ages and even mass extinctions.

I saw a very bright "shooting star" last weekend. The weather was not been clear lately so I can not tell if there are becoming more common. Weather permitting with the help of God ill be one the look out for more.

I also saw a bright shooting star recently (about a 1.5 weeks ago). Being as close to a major city as I was and given it's brightness, that was very rare. It was cool, I thought. (other people around me saw it to, so I wasn't seeing things)

Didn't think to much of it then. Then all this AB stuff pops up. Then over the weekend Deep Impact came on TV. Too funny

you do know that on the 5th of may the Eta Aquarids meteors peaked... there's usually 20/hr in the southern hemisphere, but just like any other meteor showers sometimes less or sometimes more. this could have been a lagger from that... and yes, meteors do hit the earth. several hit each day, not to mention the literal tons of "space dust" that hits the earth.

i popped on to the site because i found this news story had been posted on a gaming site of all places and i wondered if any of you guys had picked up on it,my appologies in advance if its here somewhere but i dont have time to look for it but i am pretty amazed that this is the topic of conversation here at the minute if it isnt.

I see them all the time, i read somewhere on average there are about 2 visible ones an hour. It is rare from them to get close enough for people to hear their shockwave.

Australia had a close one about a month ago too, where the shock wave was reported.

About a decade or so ago there was a small tsunami that caused some minor damage around Daytona beach, while it is still a mystery as to what happened, most experts agree it was caused by a meteorite hitting the ocean.

They are not uncommon.

Here in Georgia the shooting stars have been Big!!!! I live about 40 miles north of atlanta and theres always been 1 or 2 a night but ever since 3 weeks ago they been lighting up the skly were i live! ill try and find a link to the news(they had it as a top story)
