UFO Education - Some Highlights for Beginners

A while ago I started putting together a series of short videos to dole out in bite-size pieces some significant information regarding UFOs. I hoped that people who were curious about the topic but knew very little about it would see them and be prompted to do some serious reading on the topic. The segments are each only two or three minutes long.

If you are new to the topic, these videos along with the recommended reading can give you a starting point.

It's best to watch these in full screen, as there is a bit of explanatory text with each video.

As someone who is still probably considered a "rookie or beginner" compared to others on this forum on the subject's involved, ill be watching these videos and trying to learn as much as possible.

The Kenneth Arnold sighting remains the archetypal UFO sighting by a competent professional pilot that was publicized. No photos, unfortunately.

At this point, though, we are moving beyond the stage of getting the reality of these things accepted. The sightings and their various interpretations are just a reminder of how much work we still have to do to get at the truth of what is happening here and then doing something positive about the situation.

EXCELLENT post, I went through many of the videos. One question: The government isn't that good at doing anything...how could they really have covered up all UFOs for so long?

Glad you enjoyed the videos. I have no more clue than the average person as to the ins and outs of how and why the secrecy. I can speculate, but that's about it.

As for government not being good at anything, that may be true about many parts of the government, but the military and the intelligence community have shown some ability from time to time, and a cover-up would most likely involve those two entities primarily.

Orkojoker, sterling job on the videos mate and let's hope you're right about that - there's certainly some very interesting testmony and literature featured on those clips and I realy did enjoy this one..





..I also thought the USAF video was a great one and it seems to fit quite nicely with this thread.

Thanks karl, glad you can appreciate my attempts. I'm in the process right now of putting together an audio version of McDonald's "Science in Default". I find it tragic that it hasn't been made available earlier.

Orkojoker, certainly look forward to that one mate - maybe if it's in audio format it will reach a wider audience.. and that can only be a good thing.

Karl, I have seen that collection before, but thanks for bringing it back to my attention. Quite a staggering assemblage of work. I think putting McDonald's talks online in audio form would wake up a lot of sleepy people. I've been meaning to try to contact Wendy Connors who, if you're not familiar, has a massive collection of UFO related audio spanning several decades, including some of Dr. McDonald's remarks on the subject. Much of it, I believe, is now in the public domain.

Some great work there on the new one mate and the video makes some extremely good points about UFO definitions, patterns of behaviour and flight characteristics - I also liked the short segment with Jacques Vallee explaining how many USAF explanations are 'completely ridiculous' and below is the full version of the 1993 interview where he also describes how satellite data tracking UFOs at Paris observatory was confiscated and destroyed:

l_e_cox, I don't know if you've seen it but below is a rare interview with Arnold exactly 30 years to the day after his sighting and he's really not very happy that no-one is looking into the UFO problem very seriously.

Xpoq47, this thread certainly deserves a good bump now and again.
