oil spill prevents offshore drilling = higher oil prices

Was the offshore oil spill diliberate? Does someone not want offshore oil drilling? Why did the oil spill occur just after talk was starting about doing more offshore oil drilling?

Who wouldn't want more offshore oil drilling? If there is more oil production, it would drive down prices. Furthermore, the Saudis would have more competition. It could be big oil or the Saudis, who deliberately caused the oil spill.

Or, it could have been a mechanical issue, or a human error.

I think that people have a picture in their mind that this rig sat close to shore.

It was miles and miles away, in international waters.

Something should have been done about the leak, long before it got to shore!

Sure it will mean higher prices, it's our fault isn't it, the oil companies are just doing their job to provide us with what we need.

It's always been this way, good profits in oil, cheap plastics as byproducts and the insurance company will probably chip in too.

The fail-safe failed, that is like have something foolproof invented by a fool.

Definitely a false flag operation that took place on that oil rig. This administration is picking up where the Clinton, Bush, left off..."Never miss the opportunities provided by a great disaster".
