new human species discovered Another human species hanging out during the time of modern humans, Neanderthal and Flores man. I wonder if there was much interaction between them or if they were isolated. I know Flores man was killed off by vocanic activity and have heard that Neanderthal died off due to competition with us, I wonder what might have made these new humans extinct. Still no word on what they will be called.

this would probably account for the differences between the asian/mongolian/innuit people and the caucasians and blacks. very interesting. I'm hoping they find a full skeleton.

Are you saying some of those races could have come from a differents species? Thats not right. Or ar you implying inter-species mixing caused certain traits in Homo sapiens?

It wouldn't. Though there are noticeable cosmetic difference between the races of modern humans, these are superficial compared to the differences between modern humans and our ancient cousins. In fact, according to the article above, it is a more primitive form of humanity, referring to it as something between human and chimpanzee.

Siberia is an interesting place. If anyone has heard of CHarles Hapgood's theories of Polar shifts, he suggests that a sudden pole shift happened thousands of years ago and caused immediate freezing of many things. Siberia was a warm place at one time with grass and amazing animals and humans, but something happened.

www.answersingenesis.org...

I don't have time to get into it but there is amazing stuff to be found in Siberia.

Intresting read, apperanlty a huge mystery.
Here is a few intresing bits:

'' Table 1.1. Mammoth carcass puzzles
Some carcasses and skeletons were found in a general, standing position.
Three woolly mammoths and two woolly rhinos suffocated.
Millions of animals became entombed in rock-hard permafrost.
Some of the mammals have broken bones. ''

To me, this is a Day after tomorrow scenario, 100 below in minutes..
Brrr..

i'm inplying that inter species mixing might have caused differences in genetic traits in homo sapiens. I'm aware that all races are homo sapiens.

It's been now confirmed that neanderthals breed with homo sapiens.

www.nature.com...

Using projected rates of genetic mutation and data from the fossil record, the researchers suggest that the interbreeding happened about 60,000 years ago in the eastern Mediterranean and, more recently, about 45,000 years ago in eastern Asia. Those two events happened after the first H. sapiens had migrated out of Africa, says Long. His group didn't find evidence of interbreeding in the genomes of the modern African people included in the study. The researchers suggest that the population from the first interbreeding went on to migrate to Europe, Asia and North America. Then the second interbreeding with an archaic population in eastern Asia further altered the genetic makeup of people in Oceania.

So they found a finger bone somewhere and decided to analyze it and found that it's dna was different from both neanderthals and homo sapiens.

Was someone digging in the back yard and found a bone and called the scientists in? How did he know it was human? Do the scientists just start digging somewhere and dna test whatever bones they find? I have found bones digging in my garden. I assumed that they were from a chicken or something and ignored them. Could I have thrown away the missing link? How was I to know?

woah, "confirmed" goes a bit far. notice in the quote where it talks about using the "projected rates of genetic mutation"? they are assuming their theory is right, then making data from the theory and applying it to reality. kind of biased. most evolutionists have accepted that neanderthals were 100% human.

Neanderthals were human. They buried their dead, used tools, had a complex social structure, employed language, and played musical instruments. Neanderthal anatomy differences are extremely minor and can be for the most part explained as a result of a genetically isolated people that lived a rigorous life in a harsh, cold climate.
