Farmers should sell local and go organic if at all possible. In the wake of more and more people discovering that nanotech and food tampering is now commonplace and unannounced in supermarkets, there will eventually be a huge shift in demand to food straight from the farm.

If you value your health and the health of your family and guests, buy fresh and organic only. If it's from a big corporation, trust it no longer and avoid becoming a lab rat. There are 20 majour corporations with their own nanotech labs that are putting it in our food, and FDA can't even control it if they wanted to, let alone label it. Avoid all GMO food too, and spare yourself the fate of the real lab rats and hampsters.

Good post secretstoshadow, but in this instance, it's important to separate the message [inflation], from the messenger.

If you trade resource stocks, the alert has been out on the NIA since it's inception. I've already warned in the past here, and didn't want to completely derail TheCoffinman' thread.

To the unwary, the title National Inflation Association carries an official overtone, kind of like "The Federal Reserve System" (a privately owned banking cartel).....that's the hook.

P&D ?

If you subscribe to the NIA "free" newsletter you may learn a bit about pending inflation, but you'll also discover that the real agenda is promoting precious metals stocks. It appears the NIA quietly accumulates shares in a given stock, issues a buy rec on that stock...then sells into the ramp.

Here's an example from the NIA website dated March 22, 2010:

NIA's new stock suggestion is Revett Minerals Inc., which trades in the U.S. under the symbol RVMIF and on the Toronto exchange under the symbol RVM. - Link

Look at the spike in buying activity on RVMIF the following day, March 23rd...then look at the dramatic sell-off on the 24th
If you bought the pump, you're still underwater on that trade by approx 18%.

So, who do you think was doing the selling ???

Apologize for the OT post, but since the topic was broached, I believe the ATS market contingent should be armed with this information.

The U.S has it "easy" compared to various countries for many reasons. Education, work time, quality, etc.

All about supply, demand, and history (how strong is a nation politically).

Wages are always behind prices because producers get to set the bar. This is why the average consumer never elevates to higher levels. You become a producer of some sort, or a person that just doesn't live off a basic wage with no raise or concrete salary, and you will not notice these effects as much.

In order for some to gain some have to hurt, even if it is a little.

Um - I think that Americans, as such, like children in Africa and THE Iraq, don't do good at .............you lost me where you were inferring that America had higher standards of living than other western coutnries - you have only just received universal health care - 50 years after everyone else. You fought it every step of the way -

LMAO !

That Universal Healthcare is not the boon you seem to think it is. I suggest some more background research into past threads here! If qol were our concerns, we should be happy anyway.

I bought some Starkist tuna last week and noticed when I was putting it in the cabinet that the can seemed smaller. Sure enough I found a can from December of 2009 and it said (6) ounces. The new can which was purchased at a higher price this month than last year is only (5) ounces. Everything else on the label was exactly the same
If I had not still had a can from last year, I would have never
noticed the difference....

Trust me - I don't need to do any MORE research - the situation with health care int he US TYPIFIES the quality of life - America is literally at the bottom of the pile when it comes to modern western democracies.

For everyone one else in this thread - here is the deal - yes food pries are rising and they are goign to get a whole lot dearer.

Oil hit $150 a barrel in 2007 - which kicked off the GFC, it has returned to record high levels and will remain there - that is a permanent inflationary kick - the water from the Colorado has been almost entirely depleted - along with the melt waters from the high country which are drastically falling.

Global warming and peak oil may not be things you believe in - but I suspect reality escapes many of you - either way - get ready for things to get a whole lot more expensive.

The Gulf provides over half of Americas seafood - all of this will be gone - ALL PRICES will increase due to this - it is used in protein for cattle, fertiliser, everything. Secondly demand for alternatives will be pushed up - you are gonna get slugged.

If you and the friends from Australia are so bad in your own country how come is no masses marching down your main capitals with all the homeless and destitute going hungry asking from government help.

We got all that here in the US right now, increased unemployment, increased homeless and hunger specially among children.

Oops I forgot in America we got welfare, the way that the government keeps the hungry and destitute from steeping into the streets and make a shame of the great America.
