why is this just a painting on google maps satellite view?

Why hasn't any of the Satellite's google has access to taken actual pictures of that area?

It's definitely just painted and not satellite imagery you can tell the difference easily by scrolling south and zooming in, it has satellite imagery of the terrain and then it is white painting.

What's the deal?

Sremmos.....

My guess is that it's some sort of photo effect caused by the predominant high contrast "whites" in the area being photographed.
