There was a meteor that flew over Washington but did not crash anywhere, the report of an impact was a hoax.

I have not heard of any report of a UFO, although I could see some reports coming in due to the meteor, loud noise, booms, lights.

I saw a security camera video of an impact taking place. So I guess something hit the ground. Whatever it was, I don't know as I haven't seen it. Although it seems more reasonable to assume it was just a meteor until further notice. If its really a UFO crash, I doubt we'll ever read much more on it. Gotta keep that stuff on the down low, you know.

Heelstone,

Did the vieo camera show the actual impact? Or did it show the night sky
being lit up?

A meteor can detonate in the atmosphere and light up the sky as well.

I was lucky enough to see a larger one once, it really looked like it made landfall. I was sure it hit ground, just over the hills here.

But actually, it had sailed over the horizon , and was also spotted in over a town a few hundred miles away.

I live in Seattle, WA and I'm pretty sure nothing landed as it was just a meteor.

I posted my story in the news thread and I was awakened by the sonic boom.

What I didn't post is that I just visited a friend who lives near Mt. Rainer an he said more than an hour earlier (1:20AM) he and his daughter spotted what appeared to be a UFO to them. According to him the news report at 5AM indeed reported the incedent as a UFO. Of course a UFO could become a meteor as reports come in, so this doesn't mean much, except the fact the he saw something unusual before the whole sonic boom incident.

This story gets weirder all the time.
