Mainstream Science is all about Profit and Money

I wonder why Mainstream Science is mostly restricted to any Sciences that acceptable by Money-based Capitalism?

That is not true. It is true that the economy is driven by developments and discoveries but that is not the reason scientists are scientists.

What I can say however is the scientific establishment is holding back many discoveries because the research results goes against the consensus

There are some really amassing discoveries that have been buried because its flies in the eyes of the standard model.

Some research projects take decades to complete and if it was purley for profit then they would have to wait a very very very long time for the payout.

What we actually need is some of the old school scientists to retire and move over to let the new blood take the helm.

I'm not saying however that there aren't cases of scandal... research budgets used for lavish upgrades to one’s own apartments for example....

But that is not the norm.

Knowledge is the currency and reward for research.... That and the feeling of superiority over your peers

The money men are in controll as usual, thats what happens when you get in a state where money makes the world go round. The scientist doesnt decide what research gets done, its the research that gets funding/grants that gets done. The oligarchs behind the scenes have been allowed to get outragously wealthy from capitalsm and now are able to manipulate just about whatever they want without a trace. One alone is not much use, but when you get teams of them all wanting to protect their wealth they can and do work together to pull off ingenious things.

Unfortunately they don't accept this at groceries stores for food. From what I've seen at my school the typical young blood researcher (i.e. late twenties early thirties tenure track prof.) generally also has a new wife and first born child at home to think about whose needs always take precedent over their wish to pursue crazy theories. Most research universities are set up in a publish or perish manner (which is absolute crap, but its a rant in itself) so of course the young researcher is going to hop on the first project that gets funded and crank out as many publications as he/she can to get some job security. Grad school has made me very disenchanted with the entire research process. Professors pursue their career because they were genuinely interested in what they did as grad students and post-docs but for the first 10 years of their careers they are going to be desperately writing proposal after proposal to scrape together funding. Its been my experience that the truly great ideas come from those sleep-deprived, poorly dressed, and nerdy individuals known as grad students who become so immersed in their work that they sleep in their labs. We're a funny bunch.

I do have to stand up for private industry a little bit though. On two separate occasions companies have stepped in and funded work for my group that the government refused to fund, and its led to multiple patents in cancer treatment technologies. In some ways the lack of funding can be a good thing, it forces people to engineer low cost solutions to otherwise expensive processes. I still get a little bitter when I hear the budgets for some of the large physics projects...

Clueless people making false accusations in the internet. So.. what else is new?

As opposed to pointless science that is acceptable to communist ideology.

Contrary to popular opinion, most of science is run by crazed communists hell bent on absconding with tax payer loot while providing nothing of value to society.
