My conclusion to the ancient spirals found today is that in ancient time they had superior knowledge of the universe and the spiral represent the galaxy. In the time of Atlantis i believe they where superior to us in modern time, both in technology, wisdom and astronomy.

There are references in the book which are very useful to my own specialised field of research. ('Spirals' even includes a couple of paragraphs about the Dark Star Theory at the end of the book; the 'last word', as it were. Thanks Geoff!)

Around year or more ago, I posted in one of these forums about my experience with this symbol. I can't find the post specifically (just my animation) but this was well before the Norway spiral event. I told the story of how during one of my encounters "out of body", I was taken to what looked like a red desert or similar to the Australian outback in appearance.

This all occurred sometime after the night I woke up paralyzed and saw what appeared to be a winged snake floating above my head. It was in very vivid detail.

A few nights later I met with a group of beings that attempted to explain a number of things to me in very simplistic terms, most of which I just didn't understand although they seemed to be under the impression that I already knew of the things they spoke.

It was as if they were reminding me.

One part of what they told me was about a snake, or dragon. They projected it onto the chest of a holographic man and asked me what he represented and at the time I did not know.

The second part dealt with the symbol you mention seen everywhere in ancient times.

It was the spiral and the circles withing a circle:

Note that they are both VERY similar and also widely depicted.
Some have dots or lines going through or near them.
Both were representative of the exact same thing.

Escape and freedom.

Back then I made an animated GIF in Photoshop (I was surprised to find it was even still there on the old upload space) to show how I saw what was told to me and what it meant.

I was shown a line which represented our life.
I was told this line (or time) would repeat itself until everyone was finally out.

In the middle of the line appeared a dot, then a circle around it, followed by more circles in the same fashion and I was told:

"...but sometimes, you can leave through here."



The symbol represented a certain moment in our "time" to move free of the illusion we were in.

This was just my own personal experience with this symbol long before I really knew anything about this sort of thing. I am by no means an expert nor attempting to claim to fully understand what these symbols represent in depth.

Just relating a story that was told to me that I felt was very important to all of us.

What's interesting about almost all of these spirals, is that they have a counter-clockwise spin, or direction.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Hmm, I dunno. Looking back at just the photos that are in this thread, they kind seem to be both ways. Almost an equal amount counter- and clockwise from this small selection.
That is an interesting thought, though. Does the direction of the spiral mean something?

I don't think the direction of the spirals are of great importance if it is a representation of a galaxy, because these spirals can have been drawn for all we know from a peasant to a scholar.

As for my personal opinion, I have two, both of which I struggle with. The first is that they are just artisitic expression, some sort of mathematical Fibonacci sequence, kinda like saying "We know math, we are smart, check this out". Remember, the people's had nothing else but carvings to get their message across.

The second was brought to my attention recently. In light of the Norway Spiral, and the ensuing pseudo-cover-up of it, I seem to think it has something to do with a warning. Our 3600 cycle is nearing the end (or so I have read) and we are nearing the end of the cycle. If you look at some of the spirals, it looks as though they are running away from it, sort of an omen, and they are going to the mountains (goats seem to accompany the spirals sometimes). The NEAT comet also JUST PASSED a few years back. It supposedly affected our sun in more ways than one, and now it's at it's peak activity. So basically, I also feel as though the spirals serve as a warning to future civilizations that these spirals are signs of an impending disaster. If you add the Norway spiral, which looks EERILY similar to these ones, PLUS the natural disaster frequency as of late, it makes you wonder.....

I'm no expert but they should DEFINITELY be researched ALOT more.

How do we know they are a representation of a galaxy? That the question of this thread--what do they signify, if anything?
Plus ancient scholars and peasants didn't leave any other indication that they might have had high-powered telescopes to see the shapes of galaxies.
Ample evidence they were expert astronomers, but deep space objects?

We don't...it was my conclusion only...and i got to that conclusion by reading about Atlantis...i think they where way smarter than what we have been told by TPTB.

The spirit has come to this creation dancing round and round and will ascend and return home dancing round and round. Vortexes are fundamental to the creation. Spirits intuit this as well as see it demonstrated in tornadoes, dust devils, pools of water, etc..

the ancestors' Spiral representations were just a depiction of the odd visual event in the sky ---lasting both day & night...from that one point in space which is termed 'Sagitarrius A'...

if they were able to use colors that would endure time deterioration... that Spiral... or dizzying, hypnotic image in the sky would be represented as BLUE (just as the Hopi predict there will be a future Blue Kachina and a Red Kachina 'Star' (in their conceptualization)...
nothing New, just forgotten -> the cyclical eruption of the Galactic center BH giving a burst of energy as yet another large Star gets eaten up

Nice layout! Thanks for your effort! I have delved into this subject too and formed my own consensus pertaining to the evidence available. I wonder if the spirals are a result of the artist state of mind when carving/painting them. '___' seems to have a consistent effect of turning visual space into grids and spirals. McKenna spoke of this notion and mentioned how '___' is and has been both available in nature in various forms, as well as naturally produced within our own brains, therefore making it widely available. Whether it was the Shaman describing to the artist what they had saw, or the artist themselves that experienced the altered state of consciousness, I think the widespread, geographically and historically, expression of the spiral may have a common influential factor, and that being induced altering states. Altered states, which is also a common theme in most societies historically and contemporary.

I like Geoff Wards work on the subject, and I agree about the life force spiral connection. Like the Fibonacci sequence, this mechanism is so common in the natural world as a fundamental modality of growth and experience.

The spiral in Norway was a failed Russian rocket.

The strange creatures are thought to be shamanic images. It is this association that has suggested that geometric designs are used for religious purposes.

I think you are wrong there...i think there are proof that H.A.A.R.P / EISCAT in Tromsø, Norway where in use at the exact same moment the blue spiral appeared. That is proof enough for me to conclude that HAARP was involved.
