Volcanic Eruption and Solar Disturbance

Not sure if this is posted already but i stumbled across a post showing a video of a huge solar eruption. This eruption is the biggest in 15 years! I just thought it was a weird coincidence that the Iceland Volcano erupts a day later! What are your thoughts?

STEREO Captures Largest Prominence Eruption in 15 Years The STEREO (Ahead) spacecraft caught this spectacular eruptive prominence in extreme UV light as it blasted away from the Sun (Apr. 12-13, 2010). This was certainly among the largest prominence eruptions seen by either the STEREO or SOHO missions. The length of the prominence appears to stretch almost halfway across the sun, about 500,000 miles. Prominences are cooler clouds of plasma that hover above the Sun’s surface, tethered by magnetic forces. They are notoriously unstable and commonly erupt as this one did in a dramatic fashion. The video clip shows about 19 hours of activity.

Well this would seem to be a growing coincidence, It seems that every earthquake or something that happened involved a solar event.
I have been in belief that the suns energy in such a large pulse like it does ,directly effects the earth.
My theory is, in a short: With an energy burst from the sun, it generates enough heat within the core of earth, that in turn causes fluctuations in the expanding of magma and crustal surfaces.
When most objects are heated there is an expanding result.
I also believe that with the earths weakening shield, the earth is absorbing more radiation. again,.. heat= expanding earth.
In turn, more volcanic activity,.. the magma has to go somewhere right?
It seems that there are more volcanoes becoming active. Coincidence??

I find this to be quite a coinsidense, however, I have no knowledge of solar patterns or volcanic patterns either. I'm sure some people will come along and say it's all bs, and others will come along and agree. I'm going to flag your thread to bump it up, hopefully someone with some knowledge of the subject will come along and give there input.

When the sun erupted like this, some 15 years ago, was there a volcanic eruption? That would be interesting!

I like the correlation of events, but like the saying goes "correlation does not imply causation".

So since you mentioned it would be interesting if 15 years ago there was a volcanic eruption. Well there was! And Canada's largest recorded earthquake. Both events happened within days of the last largest solar prominence.
June 1946 in History

Vancouver Island's largest historic earthquake (and Canada's largest historic onshore earthquake) was a magnitude 7.3 event that occurred at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday June 23, 1946. The epicentre was in the Forbidden Plateau area of central Vancouver Island, just to the west of the communities of Courtenay and Campbell River.

And Great Sitkin Volcano shoots a plum a smoke and other activity during June 1946,

And to just throw this in, there was a total lunar eclipse in June 1946

Probably means nothing but still pretty cool.

Well it was 1995 15 years ago and I found this : www.infoplease.com...

It lists all the major eruptions since 79 AD.

1995 Jan. 17, Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe, Japan: 5,500 killed and 36,800 injured. Magnitude: 6.9

What month was the solar flare in 1995?
