The Illuminati is finished...?

I've been hearing countless statements as of late talking about how the Illuminati, the NWO, the banking elite, Bilderberg, etc., are all finished and that an unimaginable amount of effort is going on behind the scenes to reshape the world and prepare us for our upcoming evolution to a new era.

...okay, so does anybody find it odd just how much this is mentioned with virtually zero proof? In fact, I see plenty of proof showing otherwise that everything is going exactly as planned, but oh no, "The global elite want you to think they're doing okay, but they're all gone. I have no proof, but trust me -- my word of faith outweighs everything you have seen and researched."

What is the point of perpetrating this myth? What is there to gain? Are some people hoping that if this lie is told enough, it will become true? Are there rumors being spread by a small amount of people, and really gullible people believe it and spread it like wildfire? I just don't understand how people can say this with a smirk on their face as if it's the absolute truth.

Looking around myself...Nah it seems business as usual for the NWO, eventually they will fall as do all mighty empires. But for now, we are all still under the thumb of the global elite monster.
