This anti-France stuff is ridiculous. Just because they disagree with the U.S that makes them all the b@stards under the sun?
Its quite ironic really, This half serious indignation being thrown their way is pretty much the same as Europe felt after the U.S snubbed the Keyoto protocol and the Human rights act. Its pretty childish, but its just cause and effect. France has a right to disaggree with the U.S, just as the U.S has demonstrated it has a right to disagree with France. I for one would much rather that they went along with their populations feelings than be another syncophant.

kegs, nobody has sayed that France didn't have the right to say " NO " to the USA, or even to another nation. They can do it.

OTH, I would like to see what they would do if it was

1) the Eiffel Tower and not the WTC who have been destroyed by Al-Queeda,

2) Thousands of France citizens and not USA citizens killed in that Eiffel Tower attack.

2) that Irak was threatening France and was linked to Al-Queeda terrorist who destroyed the Eiffel Tower,

3) that Saddam tryed to kill the French President,

4) and that the USA didn't want to help France because they think it's better to stand with the arab/muslims AGAINST France !

I bet that France would not see the USA like an ally anymore !

When there is a war, you have to chose your side. " pro", " anti " or " neutral ". France chosed to be in the " anti " side, it's their choice and now, they have to deal with their former choice like we are dealing with our choice !

France has showed to the world who they were backing. Anyway, when you know France policy and points of view, it's not a surprise.

History will not forget it !

Any question ?

I know your point, what im saying is that now they've took their stance is that a viable excuse to talk a lot of #e about them and slander their people? The exact thing that many people here are saying about the slander directed at the U.S?
They've made their choice, that's it, get over it.

I can't get over it. Cuz France is a real threat for the free world and democracy. They are allways standing up for the bad guys. Now, I wouldn't be surprise if they would send some soldiers to help Pyongyang in a new possible Korea war.

France is not a democracy anymore. France is only backing terrorist network and rogues nation. In that, they are dangerous and I see France like just another new rogue nation who have to be defeat definitively.

You've got to be kidding me. Are you that succeptible to propaganda? Or are you just really desperate to find a scapegoat?

UP, if there'd been a turnaround (Eiffel tower bombed, etc, as you suggested) do you really think the US would be rushing off to help France in a war?

Nope.

Al Qaida has attacked other targets around the world. Thousands of people have lost their lives. Has the US rushed into any of the wars declared against them?

Nope.

If the "tables were turned" (to use a slang expression) you'd see the US doing what France is doing.

Although, Saddam is a crazy a$$ mofo. The only 'evidence' I've seen of him linked to Al Qaeda is by word of (Bushes) mouth. He must be stopped though.

Look how you're twisting it. "with the arab/muslims AGAINST France". You're not being specific here, so it sounds like you're `saying ALL arabs/muslims...

Well, if the frenchies are crying enough, like they did in WW1 & 2, may be that the USA will do something like giving more time to the UN inspectors.

I don't buy into all of the propaganda, however we have helped the French out more than what they have for us. Yes, they did give us help in the American Revolution. Yes, we helped France and England out in both World Wars. Not only that war, but also the Vietnam skirmish was about helping out the French when no one else in Nato would.

Even though we have given them a lot of help, it is wrong to say that "it is unfair that they are not supporting us after all we have done for them." It is unfortunate that they are not helping us out. It is unfair that we think this is a direct attack against the US. Yes, other countries can say no. Obviously, they don't think it is time for this to go that far. Sure, we could follow the paper trail and look at old pictures and try to link Sadaam and Chirac as lovers and friends, but why bother. I like to think that the truth and righteousness will shine through no matter which side of the argument it resides on....

I lost my point...
