I feel horrible because I laughed so hard at the pic and the title of the thread. Still kinda funny though. When are they going to stop giving scientists animals? Hell, even the theoretical ones they kill inside theoretical boxes... theoretically of course.

as for the treatment of innocent sheep that dedicate their fur to our clothing and mow farmers lawns with their very teeth, this is the definition of animal cruelty, sickening.

If you ask me, all experiments should be done on violent crime offenders. It would speed up scientific progress immensely. For example now we break spines of mice and try to fix them. When we master this it'll still take ages to make it work on humans. If we broke spines of murderers instead a lot of time would be saved and nothing of value would be lost. It would be so much more ethical too..

nah, we should use violent criminals as cannon fodder in whichever poxy war of oppression the guvnant want us to go to, for medical experiments we could use retarded or crazy people, you know, like what the nazi's did.

There we disagree. I for one don't approve what the nazis did and what I'm suggesting is 100% different. I don't have a problem with people of specific ancestry. I have a problem with violent people of all ancestries. They're the scum of the Earth and should (in severe cases) be stripped of all human rights.

you think we should carry out medical experiments on human beings against their will. you're a sick, twisted, evil minded sack of crap. a nazi is about the nicest thing i'ld call you.

have a nice day.

On human beings who've broken the "social contract" in horrible ways. You think people who kill and rape and whatnot deserve something better? I'm not suggesting we pump oil or something to their veins just for the hell of it. I'm saying we should do experiments that benefit the humankind with them. If their spine needs to be broken in the process, so be it. For lesser crimes we can do less harmful experiments like experiment if something irritates their skin or something. You'd rather do this stuff with innocent bunnies and mice and prime mates and whatnot? You're sick and evil!

Don't worry. That picture is a still from the very awesome movie "Black Sheep." Seems odd it was not credited.

i'm against animal testing ... but i'm also against unvolunteered human testing

do you mean if you are charged with murder you will get a choice to serve your sentence in jail, OR, you could be a test subject like you described?

that would be reasonable, if after the testing you were considered to have done your time, or your time was reduced or something, kinda like terminator 4 haha

but if murderers will unwillingly being forced into that kind of thing, murder is murder, even if you do it to a murderer, know what i mean?

I haven't thought about it that much. Obviously it's not up to me so why bother? Just for the record I'm against the death penalty. Maybe it could be death penalty or experiment kind of choice?

Man..... You can tell just by looking at the picture that sheep is in agony...

I want to go there and put it out of its misery.
A bullet would be a favor at this point.

WTF is wrong with mankind? They have to taze an animal to find out something they already found out tazing meth addicts in real time situations?

Lower the voltage or don't use them at all. That would have been a much better solution to already conclusive findings.

The look on that sheep's face is so disconcerting... How could anyone think that animals don't feel just like we do. Looking at that picture is agonizing...

Reminds me of the documentary "Earthlings"

Ugh. How distasteful. It seems to me that what with recent advances in neural mapping and imaging tech a simulation of many of these sorts of experiments might yield results commensurate with the decidedly unethical and just plain icky scenario you propose. I'd add that my admittedly cursory reading of reasonably current articles on the subject indicates that research methodology in this field is already trending toward this approach.

As for the poor subject of the photo in the OP, a simple appeal to common sense should have sufficed to resolve the question at hand.
