Conspiracy about teeth whitening and belly fat online rant

LaserTeethWhitening

Is it really laser teeth whitening you are seeking or is it whiter teeth in one hour? What's the difference you ask? Well over the last 4 years or so we have seen a boom in the teeth whitening market. It is become a boomin industry due to many factors. Many people commonly refer to well known branded teeth whitening systems like Zoom or Britesmile as laser teeth whitening.

I seriously think that lasering your mouth and head or neck for any period of time can not be good for anyone. Also, I've seen so many commercials its almost constant for teeth whitening and acai berry and belly fat. I'm almost ready to quit the internet because it is almost like harassment. I know, I know, just don't look at the ads. I'm really not interested in seeing anyone's belly especially someone's fat belly while I'm trying to go online.

Those ads are so disgusting. I don't see how they entice anyone to fork over their cash

A mini-rant! I'm out on the belly fat thingie too, it's so obviously a marketing strategy. Somebody wants to get rich quick! And there is always someone there who wants to get rid of it, and have their ice cream too.

But now, I'm not sure about the teeth whitening. Those treatments really work.
Thing is....once they are white you go back to the things that made them *not white* to begin with....coffee, coke, tea, wine, smoke, etc.

So it's really a temporary fix unless you change all that. I suspect it's the same with the belly fat. But those ads don't really bother me.

Now the viagra, women's products, birth control, psychoactive medications, wow, don't get me started!

Oh it does work, but the ads with super close-ups of gums and teeth are nasty to look at.

Now you know why a Dentist charges so much to put his hands in our disgusting mouths.

It sure is a shame that the ad spammers rake in twice the dough that a good honest dentist does.

Our system is backwards.

teeth whitening
it's really a temporary fix

So is bathing. You may wash today but the following morning you'l be oily again. Eating? Same thing. You can eat now but you'll just be hungry again later.

So will you give up eating and bathing?

Yes, teeth whitening does work. And yes, it's something that needs to be done a couple times per year.

Uh, yeah. I will give up eating and bathing. It's exactly the same thing as teeth whitening.

How about the Skin Whitening cream craze that's available in India?

How about the report's on Japanese people having cosmetic surgery on their eye's to make them look 'more' western?

Morden society is fulled by vanity, in this apparent ''look good, feel good'' era.

Im sure with the tooth whitening stuff you have to keep using the toothpaste or you'll go back to square one. And with Laser whitening, you have to do it every 5 year's to maintain that sparkly smile.

Fat removal, fad diets... There all part of the evolving debate on health. Just because someone's had 40 pounds of fat removed, that dosnt make them healthy.
Just because somebody's skinny, that dosnt make them healthy. It just mean's that their not over-weight. And also this encorages eating disorders, what with us, the public being force fed instant fat loss remedy's.

Why is that a problem?

Is it really so terrible to do something once or twice a year, or every couple years, in order to look and feel more clean and attractive? Would you suggest that brushing your hair is a waste of time? You have to do that every day or else your hair "goes back to square one." Why is teeth whitening any different?

That's true. But it does make them more attractive. And I would guess that most people who have fat removed aren't doing it because they're concerned about their health. They want to look and feel attractive. They want to be able to go out in public and not feel bad. You may object to a society in which people feel the need to change their outward appearance to be accepted, but if someone is taking deliberate action to improve themselves and their relations with others, for us to accuse them of mere vanity does them a terrible disservice.

What's wrong with looking and feeling good?

Why do you wrap presents and tie them up in pretty bows? It doesn't change the present inside. Why brush your hair in the morning or put on cologne? It doesn't change who you are as a person.

Presentation is part of the package.

With the tooth whitening, is it really neccessary? what's toothpaste for? surely if they brushed their teeth 2 or 3 times a day then they wouldnt have to relie on these "quick fix's"

Coming hair.. personally, I dont comb my hair because its short. but combing is a part of basic hygine (yeah.. im a caveman and I dont really care about looks) but the over resiliance on surgery and cosmetic treatments is growing at an alarming rate.
What sort of lessons are we teaching youngster's with regards to this current topic?

Fair enought, if you want to look good you get a healthy diet plan, join a gym or take up a hobbie that promotes physical activity... NOT book your self in for 2 weeks of surgery.

When cosmatic surgery first broke onto the scene in was reserved for the wealthy and famous star's of past era's who's looks have faded.
Now younger people are resorting to surgery, people in their late teens and early twentys.

Here's an example that has been in the press recently-

www.dailymail.co.uk...

My opinion altough it dosnt make a diffrence is that she looked better before.
But, what's the need? Alot of people say its for self-confidence.
But does the implications of having surgery really outway the negative points?

In the way that you've given examples i.e.- Why do you wrap presents and tie them up in pretty bows?

In that sense, if its not broke why fix it?

Does eye candy really negate somebodys actual talent? And now this lady shall face years of surgery to maintain what wasnt needed doing in my opinion.

Being brainwashed by marketing to think we really need this.
Falling into the vanity trap when we're all-right as we are.

Besides that, the OP was having a rant.

Well, there is a forum for rants on BTS. And if there is a conspiracy, which there may be, and if the OP intended to discuss it then he/she should have elaborated more. I mean, all I got out of this was...

"Teeth whitening and Belly fat reducing adds are disgusting and I don't want to see them."
