This story has reached a lot of sites and therefore a lot of people. Many of us have concluded that this is just another internet, or end of the world, hoax--but one cannot be sure until the end of June.

What preparations have you made, or heard of others making?

What reprocussions has this scenerio had on peoples lives around you?

What preparations have you made, or heard of others making?

None. About a year ago we had a near miss of an asteroid from sun-side. Death from the sky could come at any time, even right now, before the end of june. Being prepared is usless if a giant rock makes the air burn like fire and then turns the earth into a chunck of ice for many years.

Survival is 99% luck and 1% wits. The best bunker on the planet won't save you if it hits your side of the earth. And unless you are hiding 100 humans, about as many cows, and 30lbs of seeds in that bunker, you'd just be comming out later to a wasteland that won't feed you. If we get hit, we get hit, and luck takes over.

What reprocussions has this scenerio had on peoples lives around you?

Absolutely none. At any point a building can collapse, a sink hole can open up, a car accident can happen, and so on. This is not the only way to meet your end, just a new one on a very large pile.

To sum up, if this is true (which is doubt) there is nothing you can do so why worry, and if this is false I saved myself time thinking about it.

Personally, I think John Titor was a much better hoax. He put far more research into it and put forward much more information.

Hoax or not to hoax?

I have concluded the same. It may be a hoax (I hope), but one cannot be sure until the month's end. However, I do believe in the concept of "CYA" and therefore formulating a contingency plan. If anyone is interested, here is some info. that you may find helpful. I've also included the link to each:
