Republican forgets to lock directory of pics. Yes many are disturbing.

One day ago, "slakblue" of Reddit.com posted a link to the un-locked directory of a political blog called "ShelleyTheRepublican" located at ShelleyTheRepublican.com....

Many of the images in the unlocked directory folders are either highly disturbing, or outright racist, either in content or content/title. Most of the rest are tame, or possible even inane.

I am not sure what offends me more, the lack of security on the blog directory, or the bigoted nature of whomever titled the files. I welcome my fellow ATSers to look deeper into these files. After seeing ones titled 'white negro' or something similar with the image of an Albino African or African American, I can only imagine that the Michelle Obabm ones are actually photos of bag ladies or chimpanzees.

Whomever thought they were being clever, I guess they were not as clever as that thought.

Very disturbing stuff. Even his homepage reader survey for presidential ticket picks for 2012 is too funny/disturbing for words. Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin? Oh please. It would be the end of us all...

I love that they claim to have christian ideals, whilst apparently mocking slavery, murder and a range of completely unethical and sacreligious issues.

Good news is the same idiots who claim being gay is entirely a choice (which I am neither supporting nor defending) claim that gay blood will turn people gay. hmmmmm, if its a choice wtf does the blood matter?

I could go on and on about how the world would be better off if the author(s) had been aborted themselves, but I would rather see them enlightened somehow so that they can feel every bit of shame they deserve.

The abortion photo is the sickest thing I have seen in a long time. Seeing that almost brought me to tears and makes me wonder if there is any hope for humanity at all.

This is disturbing... especially the first picture. When we get down to the extremes of either party or ideological base we find people like this. They take it too far.

I'd actually invite you to bring your own examples of disturbing Democrats or liberals who take it too far. Atleast through here we can come to a consensus that there are limits to who we intend to associate our views with.

I am not sure of the validity of the website. The reddit comments imply that is a gag website to bait racist republicans and troll democrats. That could explain some of the acidic nature of the filenames and such. Perhaps someone here who is more savvy than I can figure this out.

I want to mention that I would be appalled by anyone in the political arena (candidates, supporters, bloggers, whatever) who acts like these bloggers, regardless of their political party affiliation.

We saw some of this type of scat slinging during the 2008 Democratic primaries, and while it may have been similar in tone, I welcome anyone here to post links to Democrats acting with such bigoted vitriol as the writers who contribute to the site mentioned in the OP.

I have had a bit more time to look around the open directories, and I am disgusted by crude racism and childish bigotry throughout. I would post more links to specific images, but feel that each member should decide for themselves, and I may have poisoned the well so to speak, by not posting links to some of the more inane images.

Either way a jpg file of a random black man smoking crack, titled "Obama in 2020" is a bit much, no matter how many other images are there.

I will however post the contact information of the site, so any of you can voice your support and/or disfavor directly to the site. What is sad is that it seems that the site spokesperson is hiding behind a pen name.

Fanatics on the left, fanatics on the right. It forces any rational person to the middle, and forces a reaction to being in the crossfire.

It polarizes everyone, especially those in the middle. I am starting to feel like I am surrounded on all sides by brain dead zombies.

As far as I can tell, she is no one important. Just another random, no name political blogger who identifies herself as a Republican.

But she is making herself important, being outed as a racist with a strange collection of homo erotic images, political cartoons, and gory aborted fetuses. How many other Republican bloggers thing it is okay to title their images in a bigoted manner? Or collect snuff images of fetuses?

For a group that publicly purports to be 'against' these things, it is a strange combo.

My observation was to point out the very fact that we, without deeper research, do not know if this site was real, if the files were not placed upon the FTP server and then reported, if the site is a political attack, etc.

Apparently my objective observation is taken as defending and/or trying to make it seems like not a big deal.

EDIT TO ADD: The mere fact that the directory is still 'unlocked' is quite suspicious to me. The folder also implies uploads in March of 2009, but that is only an implication, not fact.

Not really a big deal, the imigases are disturbing, and who ever posted that is an ass. That said, how hard would it be for me to start an Adifferentbreed The Democrat and post the same stuff? Being that this is still unlocked it seems to me to be a set up, could be wrong, but I don't think so. Seems this is just the sort of thing the MSM would love to jump on, so again since they haven't not believing it's real.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the directory was deliberately left open and the pics in the directory were placed there to deliberately attract attention by the site owners...

I'm also thinking the content of the directory was leaked in a manner that ensured an organisation like Reddit found it...
