Scientists from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg have discovered the fossilized remains of a young male from a previously unknown
ape-like species.
The study leader believes the skull could be instrumental in understanding the genus to which homo sapiens belong, as it could represent a link
between australopithecines and the first members of the homo genus.
