I think you'll find conservative media is more likely to report theory as such whereas liberal media will take a theory and turn / twist it and report it as factual.

Back on topic: Great article, still a little iffy about it though. I guess I just don't understand it enough. I'll wait to see what else comes of it I guess. :]

This is kind of scary, hopefully if and when they figure out how to travel through time they dont screw up history and destroy the present! That would suck...

i cant really understand what they did in the experiment after reading the article... anyway guess i have to read it twice...

I think that we just might be a computer program. Even if someone named Jehovah really created this universe, maybe that's how he did it.

For those of you that would like a neat way to conceptualize a "Parallel Universe" try this.

View the following illusion, but before you do, let me tell you that you will see a woman spinning. Now here is the important part. WRITE DOWN THE DIRECTION SHE IS SPINNING! (even if you have seen this before). You are about to choose the path your version of the universe is going to take.

Did you write it down? (in your head doesn't count). Do not read below these lines until you do! That line is the demarcation point. You will not be able to change your decision once you read below this line.

So now you have forced a measurement. By now you should know that the woman was in fact spinning both directions at the same time. But you were forced to measure. Your perception made a decision and now you have taken the path of the person who wrote... well, whatever it is that you wrote. Other people took a different path. Some people even took the path of reading this without clicking the link or writing it down. Yes, reading below the line without doing anything was in fact it's own decision and you have taken an entirely different path in life than what would have happened to you if you choose one of the other paths.


You see, this gives the perception that the measurement actually collapsed the possible outcomes into the one that was measured. And it kind of did - in your universe. Both outcomes of the woman spinning clockwise or counterclockwise existed at the same time, but you had to choose one of the paths for it to make sense in our linear perception of things.

What if two people were to view the woman spinning at the same time? Both marking the seconds when she switched direction? They would be experiencing the same event in a parallel universe. One, but two.

Perception is your reality. You make a decision, and then you experience the world from the perspective of that decision. Your decisions and thoughts are creating YOUR universe.

There are definitely flaws in this illustration, as there are with any model. (The map is not the terrain.) Hopefully though, this will inspire thought and bring some closer to understanding.

You would never know the difference unless someone told you. Maybe in the original time line Hitler was killed when the bomb went off in the beer hall on Nov 8, 1939 and someone who wasn't actually insane took over and won the war for Germany and someone from that awful present went back in time yesterday and fixed it by warning Hitler so that he lived to screw things up so that the allies won. None of us would ever know. For us, the way it is now is the way it "always was".

When parallel "Universes"/worlds are discussed, especially in this article, it brings to mind dreams and the "worlds"/lives visited in them.

Purity comes from the way of lives lived and not learned in the way of parallel lives affecting it.

Question:
What do parallel lives have to do with dreams?

Answer:
Dreams are another world, are of other lives lived. Those lives remembered in your waking, give you insights into your inner connection with those lives and your answers to equate your waking lives to.

It is a foreseen circumstance. It is the very connection to your other selves. It tells you everything about you.

I know what you are talking about. I watch the Science channel also. Perhaps it's because I'm autistic, but I still don't understand. How do they know that the results are different when they are observing that when they don't observe? Isn't the fact that they are setting up some kind of process where they can measure what happened while they were outside getting their nicotine hit observation by proxy? Retroactive observation? And how do the particles know they are being observed? What is it about the presence of a human being that makes them behave differently?

you might be surprised to find that they used a camera for some of the tests... there was no human observerm yet the particles 'knew' they were being watched, so they behaved as if they were being observed

Well if they do exist, then I sincerly hope we can reach them, then we can give Liberals their own universe and conservatives theirs, and so forth and then check on them in several centuries and see which would survive, I wuld place money on a civilization populated by liberals as non viable.
