Obama: A nuclear Iran inevitable

www.jpost.com

It is inevitable that Iran will produce nuclear weapons, as things stand, US President Barack Obama said in an interview with The New York Times on Monday, seeming to indicate his administration was now resigned to a future including a nuclear-armed Iran.

President Obama stated he was now convinced that “the current course they’re on would provide them with nuclear weapons capabilities,” though he gave no timeline.
He dodged the question of whether he shared Israel’s view that a “nuclear capable” Iran was as dangerous as one that actually possessed weapons.

So it is becoming apparent that the Obama administration has chosen to live with a nuclear Iran rather than exploring "other" options. The international community has imposed a series of sanctions over Iran for the past couple of decades, but the mullah regime in Tehran has only become stronger. There was a "street protest" in Iran a few months back over a disputed election. MSM reported as if another "color" revolution is underway. However, the protests in Iran fizzled out over a period of time.

A couple of days back, there were reports in the media about a submarine launched test f Trident nuclear missile conducted by the U.S Navy off the coast of Saudi Arabia. I think that the Obama Administration has offered a nuclear umbrella to Arab Kingdoms to deal with a nuclear Iran in the future. However, it would be interesting to watch the moves of the Israeli government in the near future.

He's right an Iranian nuclear weapon is inevitable. Sanctions will acheive nothing. Now its time for everyone to just deal with that matter. Israel will not attack Iran becasue they will not have the support of the U.S..

Too much of America's and her allies oil run through the Straits of Hormuz for this to happen.

Finally Barry has seen the light...Hopefully there will be no need for further sanctions...

After all, Iran is only trying to protect itself from the two most disgusting, aggressive nations on the planet, USrael...

There is no possible way Iran will use a nuclear weapon on anybody...Any move bu Iran to manufacture nuclear weapons is merely a counter to Israel possessing nuclear weapons...And the Israelis are such rabid ideologues I could see a scenario where Israel would overreact and use nuclear weapons against its "enemies"...

Lets face it, Israel has a ton of form when it comes to overreaction and disproportionate use of force...Gaza anyone ?

Well if he has done this then I would certainly applaud those actions and his raining on Likuds parade.

But I get the feeling he is passing the buck to the next administration. Much like Clinton did between the first and second gulf war.

this is great news but there will still be a war and the US will still fight it against iran.

they will make it seem that they're backing down, they're cutting down their nuclear weapons, they're limiting their nuclear use against non nuclear states. then when time is right there will be a false flag. they just cant do it now because everyone is against them... israel said before that it will not allow a nuclear iran, and believe israel will do it alone of it had to.... they will use thier nukes...

the zionists control the banks, they have the money and tyhe power... dont get fooled, obama is a puppet and those moves are only to trick us... then we gonna say lets hit iran, we gave them a chance but they F***ed up, you see?

edit:

i dont know but if obama is serious and hes a good man then i have a feeling he might get assassinated or something

So if we've got to get used to the idea that Iran could be Nuke Weapon hot any time soon, what happens next?

Would Iran be mad enough to actually use them as a first strike?

Or is it just to stop other countries invading them as a kind of threat?

Lots of countries now have them but those other countries don't go round threatening people (Israel).

Now North Korea has them, they are barking mad like Iran.

So do we strike them first or live in fear that one day Israel or a major US City may wake up to a blinding flash and cease to exist in an instant?

Not good if they do get them, we should keep an eye out for any underground testing like North Korea did!

Where's my E-quake lol?

Well it's not like most of the other powers with nukes don't have a pre-emptive strike doctrine.

If the US is stepping back from that others may, but I kinda doubt it.

Nukes are really the only way to balance the power with Americas vast military supremacy. No country currently has the ability to fight America toe to toe in a conventional war.

I personally feel if this is the case then the Hawks inside Israel must be rubbing their hands together as I am sure this is the news they have been waiting for..

As a Englishman (with Jewish ancestry) I have followed the dislike for Britain for years with a *shrug, and rolling of the eyes* but it is suprising to see that venom aimed at the US, and the Obama administration in particular.. I personally feel it heralds the hawks pushing to have a free hand in whatever action they feel appropriate against a nuclear Iran..

My gut feeling is this will lead to an unpleasant outcome for us all.

I get the feeling he's lying. He is attempting to appear reasonable. Weren't a good supply of bunker busters just moved into the near area for quick use.

Such statements are for the American public.

I'm trying to remember the source but I recall a while ago during a UN economic summit I believe his strategy was suggested as "Use the diplomatic track to open the door for Iran and appear to give them an offer they can't refuse" so that when they finally reject that "offer" the attack will seem justified.

So I also get the feeling he may be lying. He may very well be waiting for more sanctions to come into effect so it seems like he tried.

i doubt iran will use its nukes, but they will use them in the event of self defence, and thats only if they have them.

i believe iran will never get her hands on nukes because they will strike her beforehand.

however i think israel will use a tactical nuke against irans nuclear facilities if the US refuse to support them, this will spark a war. iranians being the brave men they are, will walk through iraq, then kuwait, then saudi arabia and the other gulf states were they will cease the oil.

now russia and china do thier part or at least one will join iran, they'll probably cut their supply to europe.. europe and america will be in total economical disaster. i dont know how events will play out but from this point this scenario makes sense to me... many european countries may leave NATo and join SCO just to stay alive

of course the israelis are well prepared, even though israel will be destroyed and lose alot of its people, they will not be wiped out and there will still be a jewish state somehow...

USA will get it the worst...

(i feel like israel has something hidden up her sleeve, some secret weapons or a technology, but they got something)

Carrot and a stick...... ?

Obama to limit U.S. use of nuclear arms, but not on Iran

even as President Barack Obama limits the conditions under which the United States would resort to a nuclear strike, he is making clear that nuclear-defiant states like Iran and North Korea will remain potential targets.

"I'm going to preserve all the tools that are necessary in order to make sure that the American people are safe and secure," Obama told The New York Times in an interview that previewed his revamped nuclear strategy.

Obama insisted "outliers like Iran and North Korea" that have violated or renounced the treaty would not be protected.

Ooohhh good, why not just nuke them both now and get it over with, before the fall TV season starts? Wouldn't want to be pre-empting valuable prime time programming with irritating scenes of WWIII!!!

Israel has directly threatened Iran with military action many times over its refusal to halt its nuclear program, even tho Iran is a signatory to the NPT and has allowed inspections of its nuclear facilities in the past...

On the other hand, Israel has not signed the NPT and has not allowed inspections of its nuclear facilities...

Iran has never directly threatened Israel...

Israel has also threatened the Palestinians time and again over the Palestinian "rocket attacks" *LMFAO*...Sorry, but if they're seriously considered rockets, I'll go he...

If you want to walk around for the rest of your life in denial that Israel is far more aggressive and threatening to Iran than vice versa and is more a threat to stability in that region than anyone else, be my guest...

Stay deluded if that's your choice...

Personally I could care less of Iran has nuclear weapons.

Should they ever get the itch to attack us, we could literally whip the country off the face of the earth and still only take a relatively limited hit.

Even if they nuked our 5 largest cities it's still a fairly minor hit numerically, but that is a very very remote possibility. We could come back from that with global public opinion in our favor.

As far as Israel is concerned, they are big boys playing in the big boy sandbox. They can take care of themselves.

Iran doesn't have the resources or the ability to catch up to the tech level of Israel any time soon, so we have time to see it coming.
