Solar Cycles 1996-2006
Here are a few pictures which might help us better understand the Sun and its cycle's.

This is a picture of the Solar activity between 1996 and 2006.
I am actually trying to find some pictures of 2007-2010 and add them as well.
I have researched the year 2001, which according to the picture was extremely active...
To see if there were any
natural disasters.
Well, according to Wikipedia (not the best source but...) there were a few big earthquakes (7.0-8.0)
Gujarat Earthquake
El Salvador Earthquakes
2001 Earthquakes...
2001 Natural Disasters
So I am still finding the links to provide maybe a Sunspot relationship between the two.
As far as major, wide-spread disasters being related to Solar activity...
...it remains to be researched!

But these pictures do show proof of our Sun going through eventful changes.
Which, to me, have an effect on our Planet, but to what degree, I am unsure.
