New Yorkers told to 'pull their pants up'

I applaud Mr. Adams for speaking out on this. I believe it will have a positive effect on more than just a few who heed the billboard's message.

These 'kids' nowadays! What to do, what to do.....

Here's something I heard, haven't verified it (nor have I tried to use it on one of the punks I see just about every day)...

"I am told that in prisons, the men who wear their pants down low, exposing their butts, are telling everyone else that they already have a boyfriend, and to back off."

Wonder if telling these guys that story will embarrass them enough to reverse this fad??

From the posted link:

The low-slung trousers trend is adapted from the unbelted and sometimes oversized look of prison uniforms

From what I have heard, the people in pison that wear their pants this way are....um..... "open for business" I guess you might say.

This is a silly fad and like all others it will pass.

LOL, the world is falling apart, and the fashion police are worried about someone's pants?
With folks like this in america, it's no wonder the ship is sinking.

1)sagging pants is a conspiracy?
2)How do people sagging their pants affect you personally?
3)Taking away freedom of expression through dress is far more disturbing to me than some kid who cant keep his pants up.

What good does pants that low do?

This black kid the other day was trying to cross the highway, low as hell pants, running like a cripple, one hand holding his pants halfway up, and the other waving in the air to balance him out, then slam right infront of my car pants fall, he falls...

Gets back up, and still walks away holding on barely to those pants.

If you are a small-medium sized person, there is no need for XXXXXXXL Pants, and an XXXXXXXXXL shirt, this is ridiculous.

Unless you play basketball, even on the weekends, you don't need to be wearing a basketball outfit everywhere.

With all the people out there suffering from real diseases.... why do able bodied people try to walk with limps and stuff? If it was to mock the cripples, at least theres something there, but it seems like it's the cool thing to do now.

You got a point there guy.

Sagging pants though, I heard a story a few years back that it's easy to hide a shotgun from view that way, although, I think this would be very rare.

Maybe we're as upset as the last generation that thought it was ridiculous not to have our pants above our belly buttons!!!

This IS AWESOME. A big round of applause for Mr.Adams! I wonder how I would feel though if it was a billboard saying "cut you're long hair and land a job"? I have hair down to my mid back, but because it is comfortable and I look good in long hair.

Ah guys, do ya realize how many of the little squirts are caught by the seat of the pants? Or so say the police. They can't run with those things falling around the knees.

Every generation has it's quirks that is disliked by their "elders". This is theirs. But it sure is lasting a long time, and it seems they are overdue for a change.

Bear in mind the next trend could be worse, and probably will be.

Forgive me, but I enjoyed the peek I had the other day getting on the train.
The sagger in front of me had to go up the steps to the second level as I followed.

Shall we say "bootylicious".....

His silk boxers left nothing to the imagination.
So yeah, this old homo was watching your ass every step you took to the upper level of seats. And where I sat wasn't really the seat I wanted.

Go ahead and show it, I also liked the tight pants in the 1970s as well.
