There is a bigger picture here.

As I said, as a football coach (Sigh...Soccer), I notice it big time.
Last 3 summers rain...

Changed big time.
This time for keeps I think.

Between 3 of us we pretty much cover the breadth of the central belt and no doubt we can each of us experience different weather conditions at the same time but I find it unusual that you think having rain for the past 3 summers is unusual....... again, that is just my experience.

Captiva mentions unusual hot weather in May, my eldest son was born in early May 1987 and every year, except for maybe one, we had tshirt and shorts weather and bbqs on his birthday until he was about 11yrs old. Infact in the maternity ward they had to bring in fans and keep the windows wide open day and night to keep the babies cool it was so hot. So again in my experience an exceptionally hot May isn't unusual.
