So was there ever an actual man named Pythagorus or not? Or is it just a type of maths???

I think music, like any other pattern we recognise in the universe, resonates with everything else so that the music we find most aestetic is harmonious with the world around us.

We do need to de-tune concert pitch 'A' from 440 to 432 hz though becuse 432 hz is more resonant with more of nature.

Also, if you tune to 432hz it is easier to get more tempos in time/in tune with your music, especially if you are using digital recording and playback.

432hz is like having 360 degrees in a circle, it is more divisable. It is only recently that we switched to 440hz, many of the old spiritual paths and religions use 432 (and harmonics there of) as sacred numbers.

Also, all the digits that make up harmonics / tempos of 432 (4+3+2) add to 9 ie 36, 72, 108, 126, 135, 144, 180, 216, 270,..........

then there is the earths and moons diameter..... resonant with 432

once you start digging into 432hz its a deep, deep rabbit hole !
You have the Mayan time cycles, the vedas and hindu time spans, the viking and norse mythology, christianity, the egyptians, astrology and astrological degrees, time cycles etc that all spring from the precession of the equinoxes.

25920 years divided by 432=60
25920/12 (signs of the zodiac)=2160 years per star sign. 2160 is an octave of 432 hz


I make music using 432hz and tempos that harmonise with the frequency of the tuning the song is in. My research suggests that brainwaves are more easily entrained to 432hz and of course 9hz is a useful frequency for meditating.....as is the schumann resonance.
