Large Hadron Collider to start high energy 'God Particle' hunt

So, they turn on the Large Hadron Collider again and only hours later part of the ceiling of Nero palace collapses!

ROME — Italian news reports say that part of the ceiling of Nero's Golden Palace in Rome has collapsed.

There were no early reports of injured people after the collapse Tuesday morning, according to the ANSA and Apcom news agencies.

Built by Roman emperor Nero in the first century A.D., the sumptuous palace is known to many by its Latin name Domus Aurea.

I would put that in the coincidence category since they are just barely ramping it up and have yet to collide particles. Even right now it's only at 1.65 TeV as I type this; they plan on colliding the particles at 7 TeV. So, I don't see how it could possibly be related.

But maybe I should clarify myself. No, I do not really think Nero's palace collapsed because of the Hadron Collider. I was trying to be funny. Clearly I failed.

How the hell does this experiment mimics the early stages of the Bigbang? Some one explain please.. Colliding particles at high speed is not the same as an outward burst which what the BigBang really was. Or Am I Confusing MySelf..

The LHC can at full power collide particles at 14tev, 7 tev in one direction and 7 tev in the other. These types of energies were only present in the big bang as far as we know and if you subscribe to the big bang theory.

This is not actually recreating the big bang but just making conditions where energies were similar.

I personally do not subscribe to the Big Bang Theory, there are way too many holes with additional maths to cover them, such as the concept of inflation and accelerating expansion.

Physics unfortunately is field where law is passed by consensus. So only the theories that are not considered crackpot are validated later on by clever maths.

There are some really interesting results from labs that when they attempt to publish are slammed by the institution and then the scientists involved gain a way out there rep.

This in my mind hampers progress and is why we keep up with experimentation to validate the Standard Model.

Einstein himself knew that there was something wrong, and he had started a quest to unify physics (a theory of everything) but unfortunately died before he had any real answers.

And to the person who stated stop calling it the 'GOD' particle ----> RIGHT ON BUDDY!!!

The Higgs Boson is the correct name and calling it the GOD particle is purely down to the fact that it is this particle that if exists explains how matter gains mass, and as such tracking back to the early universe could explain how matter clumped together to create the first stars.... track that forwards and you have a particle that is responsible for all life.

The Higgs however has nothing to do with Consciousness or a super natural intelligence.

Though as I stated earlier IMHO they won't find anything, and if they announced they did I will be trawling their results as I won't believe it until I see it.

Wouldn't it be totally bonkers if whilst we are discussing the LHC in all its glory, the people that made designed it and made were carrying out some master plan in order to create some ridiculously futuristic weapon from it.

Climate change is a fact, it's been happening ever since the earth first developed a climate to change... However the carbon tax and stupendous schemes set up to so called combat change is a scam...

Swine Flue is also a scam, designed to boost the pharmaceuticals industries and to ever tighten control over the populace..

The LHC is NOT a scam or is it designed to do anything other than smash particles together.... I'm sure some may think that the amount of money spend in building it and the choice of contractors could be considered a scam but and I repeat but this does not mean the LHC is as you put it is BUNK.

Try reading some books on physics before posting threads about a subject you obviously posses no knowledge in.

The truth is scientist can't accept what science tells us.

Science tells us that there is no objective reality. Reality is a construct of the mind.

When you eat food, the mind tells you how food should taste based on the smell of the food. This is why everything taste the same when you have a cold and a stuffy nose.

When you touch a hard table or a soft pillow, you never really "touch" it. The electrons from your hand repels against the electrons in the table and the mind perceives a hard table or a soft pillow.

Many scientist are materialist and they have been trying to explain for years through things like the Higgs Boson and other theories, why the universe doesn't seem real outside of our perception of it.

The Unified Field Theory of Consciousness explains that everything is a construct of the Mind instead of unconscious, dead matter magically and accidentally becoming aware of itself.

Science does not tell us that there is no objective reality. Certain metaphysical and epistemological theories tell us that there is no objective reality. Do your research before making wild allegations.
