The above quote is from the O.P., and stands completely in contrast to the analytical "style" of his writing thus far.

I spent many years writing poetry and fiction, all the way up into my second year of college. I was originally pursuing a degree in English, then changed to Psychology.

This is only my opinion-- I think the O.P. is working on a story, or testing his narrative abilities.

Well, if you're telling us the truth O.P. thanks for sharing!

Folks, this is obviously cut & paste from a larger work. Why can't the OP just post all of it in it's entirety? Why can't OP be bothered to address questions in his own thread? Doesn't anyone see the madness here

Never mind...its off topic and juvenile (two things I am not immune to being).

Point is...I am waiting, watching, weighing...wondering why this is such a long process.

1) He wants to sell a book or make a blog about this.

2) He calls his testimony "installments".

3) He enjoys having a "bit of fun" by issuing himself 24 hour time spans where he will then return to "ignore questions posed" and keep on trucking with his newest "installment"

4) He can not begin to even prove any of this.

My stance is this...

If this is true...I am wrong and should really be ashamed.

But...if this is a hoax in process, then this guy is making up lies and assuming enough of us are "dumb" enough to be fooled by his "fun".

As rude as you assume me to be (though you show such grace), I find a "lone-wolf-scammer" to be a thing far more offensive.

But then again...I am not his target audience. So I can see why some folks may be so defensive of this man's position right now.

See you all at the finish line...for me, I'm already there and waiting for many to catch up. I'm not alone there...I am not the only one who figured this guy out already.

So...my promise to you, I will leave this thread and silently watch as I am proven to be some alien-future-guru-guy who called this as it was on "page one".

I assume by page 109 "I may return" if this hasn't ended yet...but until then, enjoy your legit NASA guy.

You have a point, but the way Mask puts everything is that he is using the facelessness of the internet to throw his weight around when in reality, would he do that face to face with someone? If he tries to answer with a yes, then he is just an ignorant fool waiting for a fight.

The point that i am trying to make is that, if you don't like a thread, why keep posting in it so it doesn't go away? That's all he needs to do is ignore the OP, because by posting and riling up peoples emotions Mr. Mask is doing the opposite and actually promoting the thread because people post back to him, so it's defeating his point.

Does that make sense?

Listen, I've read all of the posts in this thread and not a single one states that they believe there's any truth to the OP's claim. What I have heard and as I've stated myself is that we would like to give the man the benefit of the doubt. Most of us would also like to extend a little respect, besides if nothing else it's a great story.

I would like to add that the thread of the story has all of the elements of believability and may be factual. None of that matters to me, there's no way for me to independently varify any of it anyway. I'm not in the habit of assigning fact to any information I pulled off from the web, no matter the "source" because agencies and individuals are always agenda driven.

I'm beginning to believe that you are the one use to baseless arguments. If you are not willing to "put up" then it is really time you are called out.
For everything you just said about this guy - put out yourself.
We want to see how you are to prove those things WITH EXAMPLES!
And, if you feel you don't have to do so, then stop taunts like your "prove it" when you yourself have never "proven it!"
See why we need our blogs ATS? This way, people with too much to type will have a place to put it so it all comes out at the same time.
And no, I'm not trolling but if there is a valid way for someone to prove where they work w/o sensitive info being posted, I want him to tell me how instead of always slamming people's posts. That, to me, is getting problematic. Also, when is it just trolling since he is adding nothing to this discussion. I think a moderator should answer that one.

I don' think you can blame the members for that.

I think what would help is if the OP at least responded to those contributing to his thread as opposed to ignoring them only to cut and paste a story for which he expects them to read and consider. He demands serious attention to his story yet piecemeals it like he's on a weekly radio program, and doesn't care to respond to anyone requiring some simple answers or clarification.

It is a bit disrespectful in my opinion and most of the members here have been very patient and courteous.

They do have limits though.
This is a forum for discussion NOT a blog.

If he wants to seriously tell an alleged true story and have us discuss the details of it more power to him.

If he wants to make this an ongoing sci-fi story from a manuscript, he is putting it in the wrong place.

I'm really not interested in reading "Babble-On: 6" fanfic.

There he doesn't have to respond to anyone and it won't seem out of place.

Either way I wouldn't worry, because I have a feeling he wants this story out in the public.
More than likely in a published and purchasable form, so don't expect to get it all for free.

Believe it or not, if I were to write about details of my life or a particular topic in such detail I honestly don't think I'd have the time to read through the monumental amounts of drivvel on this thread and reply or have the time to post everything at once. Maybe the OP is busy too?
Granted that most members have been patient and courteous but the minority should give the OP a break and keep on topic.

Well if the OP does not happen to work for NASA, he sure has all the tech talk down, which I find dull. If he is indeed a writer, he needs some work, it does not flow in an interesting manner.

This is by far the best promise you could have made. As most of us know, it's irritating to have to wait for more information, based on these "installments". But to sit and discredit the information as being pure BS, is your opinion, which I can respect that. But to be belligerent in nature and inflammatory to a post that was made (maybe for attention, maybe not), isn't for me to judge.
