No. I do understand that there is bipartisanship. I understand that both parties have common interests in certain areas. But to acknowledge a 2 party system is to not subscribe to the party system as a diversion. I only use Icke because most people are familiar with his ideas. Considering current cancer rates, a microchip/nanobot cure could very well get over half the population chipped.

Myself and many others have already envisioned a million ways of marketing this to the majority, but the answer I always get from people who I talk to about it is "Well I'd never take one", as if that settles everything. I'm sure many people who say "over my dead body" might think about it completely differently if it were a sure complete cure for their terminal disease.

People won't listen until they are in a position to react, proactive thinking is discouraged and only expressed through entertainment in controlled developed societies. This is one that won't be fought until it's too late...

This can and probably will happen!

Most things in people's lives are already run on credit...why not have a chip, instead of standing in line your whole grocery bill can be paid (credit or debit) just scanners when leaving the store. Just bag, or have assistance by a mechanicalbagger to bag and you're on your way. Make the "consumer" happy, because that's all we are to Big Brother.

Of course, we want the convince after all we're to busy raising little consumers.

The chips are in Fido and Fluffy already, but a more detailed chip would be perfect for Grandpa(oh wait he has one since 2007 because he has Alzheimer's) and Lil Tommy so they don't get lost!

Great Topic OP. It is thought stimulating and entertaining.

This is exactly the direction we are headed for. Whether this is good or bad I am reserving judgment on. Consider for a moment if the intentions behind the OP's questions are benign. Working 4 hours a day on an automated system. Abolishing 600,000 + statutes. Only violent crimes, theft and negligent crimes being punishable offenses. Travel to anywhere in the world on your free time. Do anything you want if it is not a crime. Being the master of what you take into your body. All and more brought to you by sacrificing some of your freedom of location and time when the system needs you.

RFID and tracking technology in general could pave the way to free energy. It would be nearly impossible to trade free energy for currency indefinantly. Instead, you trade your time for a home, car, food, water, medical treatment and a bunch of credits to enjoy life's vices.

In a more bizarre train of thought, the unrelenting increase of information gathering and technological advance could bring humanity to the Technological Singularity. A strange theory. A google search will give you plenty of information. What a coincidence.

In regards to the Book of Revelations. I am not a christian, but I have read the work. It is eerie how things seem to be coming together. I could fill a thread with theories, so I will not.

This is my first post after lurking this forum for a couple days now. The OP hit on alot of well made points. What stood out the most for me was the practice of putting Americans in a situation of need or desperation caused by debt to then offer a "cheap" "fast" "conveneint""hasslefree" solution. Sadly those words are used way to frequently these days and is becoming a trend for our society. Not only is the idea of chips plausible but from our recent trends of a society it would seem inevitable. Eventually we will get to a point that without "agreeing" to participate you would not be able to function as a normal citizen. Scary thoughts indeed.

Don't you guys think that there would be many religious problems with this idea though? Some religions are very strict when it comes to altering the body. I would think that injecting a chip would be considered a desecration by many, and subsequently relieved of the mandate. There are just so many variables to this subject. I personally do not ever see it happening. It is just too extreme.

If you refuse the chip, you will be required to carry it on your persons at all times! If you are scanned and don't return a reading, you will be held and charged.

It's as simple as that. "What if it's against my religion?" "What if I refuse?" etc, need not be asked anymore.

If you are not willing to have this technology implanted, you will be required to carry it on you at all times. If you are caught without it, you will be detained and prosecuted.

I dont believe I'm required to have personal identification to simply move around.
Simply move around is the focus here.
Given the traffic stop, the current questions are drivers license, registration, and insurance.
When I enter a store or stadium or any public place of business I can do so currently without presenting identification, or having my location revealed or monitored.
If I'm simply moving around, where is the probable cause for detainment or arrest and charges stemming from?

No you're absolutely correct. I was responding specifically to Maus for being taken in for not having the chip. Under current (NY law anyway), if an officer asks for ID and you do not provide any, it's handcuff time. Fact. That was all I was referring to. Obviously there are other differences with your OP to the current state of affairs.

Not sure where you're from, Happilieverafter, but in NY, a policaman can stop you if he feels like it. All he needs is a suspicion. He can ask for ID even if you're walking across the street. Of course it is not commonplace, but it happens if you look like you're up to no good. All they need is a suspicion to ask for ID and what you're up to.

I've been thinking about the changes that would come with the introduction of this technology and all of the areas it would affect.
Its a bit overwhelming and alarming and if I suggest some that seem questionable, its simply deserving of consideration before theyre dismissed out of hand.

Employment, and or unemployment.
Cashiers?
How many people currently provide for themselves and their loved ones filling this position?
You would still require a store manager(s) for questions or disputes at the point of sale but to simply "check out" you would no longer need cashiers.
How many positions would be eliminated? 50,000, 100,000 a half million?
Of course now the coporations just reduced workers comp payments, wages, H.R. responsibilities, healthcare payments, lost time accidents,
life insurance, background check expenses, daycare allocations, basically anything that was a line item attached to an employee.
They have also removed what the system requires to operate and that's money in circulation to continue commerce and tax revenues, local, state, and federal.

Privacy.
The ability to monitor and provide a record of your movement and location at all times.
Entering a store, a restaurant, a sporting event, passing a toll, attending a concert, entering work, any location where a reader is deemed required, and yes possibly even your home or residence.
There will be no question as to where you are, you will not be "leaving" a trail anymore, you will be "announcing" where you are entering, to the system.
Just the basic calling off of whatever job you may have, (maybe youre just burnt and tired and need a break) telling them youre sick, you had better well be recorded as "being home" or at the doctor, or be prepared to answer questions as to why you were recorded at (fill in the blank).
Your patterns, choices, purchases, wants, habits, desires, history, beliefs, practices, consumption, donations, health, wealth everything about you will be accessible to those deemed in the "need to know group" and you dont need to know who they are.
