This is what I read too. I don't think that prison planet article is correct...$2250 fine per month ? Nah.

I'm not concerned about needing insurance that meets govt approval either.

The point is the govt will set a minimum standard and guess what, you won't even be able to buy a policy below that level of coverage anymore.

It's like with auto insurance. There is a minimum level of coverage required. I saw Haley Barber interviewed today and he brought that up. How people will have to buy a "govt approved" insurance plan. He made it sound like you were buying health insurance directly from the govt. It's a consumer protection measure. You need insurance at least as good as what they stipulate. What good is it to mandate health insurance, if people can buy a $50 policy that says in the event of any hospitalizations, the deductable is $100,000 ?

If history serves and if this bill is not repealed quickly, I have little doubt that we will see a spin-off "Bureau of Health Insurance Enforcement" agency emerge from under the IRS in the coming years. I do not believe that we will see armed enforcement of this bill until 4 or 5 years down the road, but (again, if it is allowed to stand, disgraceful and unthinkable as that would be) eventually we will have situations where agents take property and freedom by force in response to Americans who refuse to bend over and take this.

Please, could we name it the IRS's Division of Insurance Enforcement? I rather envision news articles of the future to be about DIE Agents kicking the doors of log cabins, arresting families of five that tried to avoid the law by moving to the hills and wilderness.

All of this material is nothing more than Lip-ammo, for the Bunker Hill Gang. Those whom would like to say things with pounded fist, from way, way off.

Tyrant-type wordy words to state.

Every tax season, the 'Ax Man Cometh'. And, it's nothing more than a side notion so that they might enjoy their free-float, do nothing approach; while they spend monies shifted to them for things like petty quarrels.

If, you were ever gun barreled by someone for checks and balances on a sheet of paper, maybe you ought take up that genre of computer gaming, for a little more excitement, as this would have a better hint of reality.

Prisonplanet. lol
what a joke.

they forgot to mention the death star that Obama is making over Texas.

I am sure most of PP readers will buy it.

Its entertainment...its the political version of Weekly World news (Batboy and Lobstergirl marry articles).

Meh..

And of course elitists that want to blame Fox News for everything - especially for telling the truth.

Fox News? Truth? Strange bedfellows indeed.

And this all refers to something in Prison Planet? Mmmmm.

Ok, seriously, if you are a member of this community and you are calling someone out for being a fan of Prison Planet, you might be a hypocrite. A gigantic hypocrite that probably gets giddy at shows like "Destination Truth" and what not. Seriously. Hypocrite.

This bill is going to hurt economically and it will hurt very bad. So is the government going to charge 95 bucks a year per person if they're unemployed?

Americans are fat, live beyond their budgets and need to learn to pay for health care for themselves and for their fellow Americans who cannot afford to pay.

It is the law of the land now, you will comply or else!

I wonder, if an IRS agent shoots an American for failure to comply and that person survives... Will the government pay for the medical and hospital costs?

This is crazy.

Regarding that video my answer is No, We SHouldn't. Personally, I'm kind of fed up with celebrities endorsing candidates, particularly musicians. I think some people feel like Obama's election is an American catharthis, overturning all the wrongs of the past somehow.

Creating the largest deficits in history isn't going to help anyone regardless of gender or race. Had Obama done the things he SAID he was going to do when elected I wouldn't have a problem with his administration. He has done the opposite of what he said - expanding the war in Afghanistan, continuing spying on Americans, extraordianry rendition and on and on.
Our rights as human beings and our country are going down the tube and all you can do is sing along with YES WE CAN. Whatever makes you happy. Just know the ship is sinking and your captain is opening the hatches and stolenn the last lifeboat. YES HE IS.

I think Obama is proving quite well that War Crimes aren't just for White Presidents anymore.

That was a threat. I didn't think they were allowed at ATS.

This isn't like being required to carry auto insurance. You agree to that when you decide to own an automobile. Don't want to pay for car insurance? Don't drive.

This however, is like a tax on existence. If you're born, you must buy health insurance.

But what if you don't have insurance and get in a catastrophic accident ?
What if you get run over by a truck crossing the street ?
Don't live ?

Can the taxpayers tell the paramedics to let you bleed out on the street, since you didn't want big gubmint mandating you buy insurance ?
Or do you expect a health care bail out ?

This (my last post) was not a threat

It is a peaceful protest and a denial of something hollered out as fact. "Hell no you can't."

Unless it is saying "fire" when ever someone needs to holler out ANYTHING it is usually because they are wrong. They need to holler it out because no one is really listening.
This is our survival instinct kicking in and saying in a still small voice...."ignore this lunatic" and hopefully, if we are smart...we listen then.

Yes we can.

Yes we can: still bomb the # out of brown people half a globe away.
Yes we can: prove that war crimes aren't just for white presidents any more.
Yes we can: steal your hard earned tax dollars to bail out greed mongers under the guise of fighting "capitalism".
Yes we can: pass FISA and steal all of your information.
Yes we can: sell out to the Chinese along with the Republicans.
Yes we can: continue to use Eric Holder to uphold 99 % of the Bush administration's unconstitutional views on the "war on terror".
Yes we can: sign for tax funded abortions that target the black populations of America and Africa
Yes we can: sucker you into thinking that electing an african american would actually make a difference.

Well now that's my problem isn't it...

I didn't say going without health coverage is a good idea, what I said is requiring people to purchase it is unconstitutional. The individual mandate for health insurance is akin to a mandate requiring everyone to purchase bottled water.

Again, I'm not against this because I think health insurance is a bad idea, I'm against it because this bill violates our Constitution, and blatantly so.

Hospitals don't turn accident victims away and you know it. So, your scenario wouldn't happen and you know it.
