Sharpton Admits Obama's Socialism

and spoken by someone who's been buddying up with him lately in the White House. Did you know that when you voted him in, you were voting for Socialism? Everyone denied it was true, but it seems now the cat is out of the bag.

Hang on. I'd love to see one of Obama's own personal fist bumpers make this public statement and refer to the traditional definition of socialism.

However, what Sharpton said was:

"If this is Socialism, then the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they voted for Barack Obama"

He was referring to the Health Care Bill. He's asserting that Obama campaigned on HCR so that's why he was elected.

I don't believe Obama should be given any kudos for passing HCR, however, because he and his cronies had to outright LIE to the American people and everyone else in order to pass it - for something HE THOUGHT was best for the nation. Like the nation doesn't know what's good and not good for it.

I say let's destroy Obama politically, but let's do it on true statements and factual arguments.

OP - The original quote needs to be fixed since as is it misrepresents what he actually said and we don't need any more of that on this site!

I know that healthcare reform was one of Obama's talking points during the campaign, but I would have thought he was elected more so for his stance on ending the wars -- that and the fact that he was as far away from Bush as people could get. (at least during campaigning.)

Plus, his healthcare reform campaign speeches heavily relied on his desire for a public option, which didn't end up happening anyway. So, I would think that those that voted him in to save healthcare & create a public option are also left disappointed, no?

Hey, what would happen if we ended all wars and foreign military bases?

That would give us about 2 Trillion bucks right? So the 1.6 Trillion deficit would become a 400 billion dollar surplus. We could completely wipe all income taxes.

Now, just doing that little bit I just mentioned. We are rich in only 4 years.

Add in Nationalizing the Federal Reserve and pay ourselves the interest.

WOW, we could pave our roads with gold and still have enough left over to wipe our asses with silk.

Oh but the idiocy must continue though. Because the people that back the Dems think they are not corporatists.

Oh well, when the truth comes out and the liberal left see the truth, oh I cannot wait to see them throwing a hissy fit.

If Obama is American Socialism, which is not what he said, but if Obama is then Socialism in America is actually corporatism. I think Obama is either just a Social liberal or Third Way.
