Michael Moore The Health Care Reform Bill Is A Death Sentence!

Includes topics like Kucinich being the only "real" democrat, Keith Olbermann's Dad's death, and how the new bill will facilitate the speedy death of many more sick americans.

About time that man stood up for something right. I always saw him as a fat fool, but his words in this video actually made since.

Socialized medicine could be a really good thing...but this bill is beneficial mainly to insurance companies and big business. A bailout for the medical industry if you will.

How can he make a doc and then take back everything he said..

Thats what this health bill is right?? Socialized medicine....

It would help if you understood what Socialized Medicine is.

It would be clearer to you then.

I thought he would be for the reform. After seeing SICKO and Capitalism A Love Afair I thought he was for Obama all the way as well as Socialistic Health Care. Not that I thought this health care reform is socalistic although it is being sold as such. So I am surprised Michael is agiants this reform. To me this interview has proven that Michale is sensable and has his priorities in good order. This makes me like him even more.

I too am all for a Health Care Reform, even a Socialistic one but I am not for this bill at all. Mishael is so right, this bill will kill many people who are for it not understanding the whole truth.

If he doesn't like the new new Amerika he can leave this country like Rush has said he would do.

Leave this country, you get a towell and a cheap set of flip flops. Your money stays here.

The big "swells" who thought they had they had everything covered are about to learn a lesson.

Rush said he would leave the country to receive health care. Not move to another country.

I suppose I should watch the video, but Michael Moore's voice and mannerisms irritate me. So does this mean he agrees with Sarah Palin that this health care bill will result in death panels?

Come on kids, Michael Moore says this bill DOESN'T do enough. There are no death panels. That was a lie told by republicans to scare you and moreso old people. You are confusing health care reform in its entirety with this single reform bill. I know you can't be this dense so I assume you just misunderstand to further the lies.

Get it right folks! Michael Moore is against this bill because it is NOT a 100% wholesale takover of healthcare by the government. In other words, it is NOT SOCIALIST ENOUGH! The same reason that Der Kucinich is not voting for it - it is NOT socialist enough. Both of these fools want government to own your healthcare 100%!

For years I dislike Moore, but during those years I never actually watched a thing he filmed. Then I started watching, and listening. My dislike was unfounded because he was always right. A bit dramatic, but right. He's right about this, and I've said as much during conversations about this health care bill. The other thing about the bill is that it will drive up inflation to unprecedented levels. Every self-employed person will have to raise prices, every business that is forced to purchase insurance will drive up rates... you, me, everyone we know will be paying more for everything that we currently spend on. We'll have to cut spending in areas that can be cut which will mean declining profits in general.

This bill, this give away to the insurance companies, this inflationary mandate will not only cause more deaths in the short term, it will cause the death of our economy. There are no price controls, and the largest gripe about health care is the cost. It's like we're all caught up in a strange version of the dead parrot sketch as the customer trying to get a refund on the parrot, and the government is the person that sold us that dead parrot.

There are still death panels, they are the death panels that have always been there with the insurance companies, and they are manned by accountants that are armed with spread sheets.

No one should be able to make a profit off of human suffering. They all should be turned to non profit organizations or taken over by the government.

Interesting, I don't get that impression at all. What he was saying in Sicko was that the view of the 'socialised medicine' that is enjoyed in Europe and in Canada and so on, is twisted by an American media and administrations in the thrall of a McCarthyite hangover. He was saying it's not the case, don't believe what you're told.

What he's saying here in this instance isn't a backtrack. He's saying that the Reform Bill for American healthcare as it's transpiring is bad news. You're making assumptions on things that aren't there: namely that the American healthcare system post-reform was ever going to be the same as the healthcare systems in the countries he highlighted in Sicko. Did you really, honestly think you were going to get what France has? What Canada has? Even what England and Wales has? What you were going to get, at best, is America's 'kicking and screaming' version of it and, as the rest of the world knows, America likes to put it's own spin on things anyway.

Wouldn't it make sense to just have universal health care provided by a national health service that is run on taxes, Everyone in society pays through their taxes, (imo the rich should pay more). Work on the assumption that at some point of your families or your self are going to need to have medical care (being born, for a start).

Then any other time you need to go to hospital it is free at the point of recieval, no insurance companies because your taxes have paid for all your treatment.

It's not a perfect system, but works reasonably well here in the UK, I am living testament to that.

so why have insurance when you could just have a national tax?

Except that these companies are making a profit from trying to cure or alleviate human suffering, not cause it or make it worse.

What's the problem with that?

Oh, and you might want to reconsider an econ 101 class. No profit = no incentive = no research = no new drugs, treatments, etc.

And if your answer to that is still a government takeover, go down to your local DMV or any other government office of your choice and watch all that "innovation" in action.

It's a shame that many don't understand this concept. Money doesn't just grow on trees and research for better medicine and a better health care system costs money. The U.S. has the most technologically advanced health care system in the world. Yes, there's profit in medicine, but only because there has to be, just like with any other occupation.

If you oppose profit in the medical industry then you need to oppose profit in ANY industry that makes human life better.

Well, it's gotta be said, so I'll say it even though it'll probably get me a warning or a ban...

Just wait till this cluster fark of stupidity kicks in. You want to see inflation, just wait. This giveaway to the insurance industry is going to put our economy solidly in the crapper. There'll be no way of unclogging that goddamn mess even if we kick all those rich motherfarkers out of office when election time comes around. I'd put good money down that all those farkers are buying shares in health insurance companies as we speak if they aren't already heavily invested. Piss on them all.
