Virtual Career Fair - US Intelligence Community

Do you guys by any chance heard of this? The virtual career fair
It is the first time i see and heard an idea like this , an online career fair.

A lot of agencies will be present at this fair with their vacancies :

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA)
National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
National Security Agency (NSA)
Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)
Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI)

Did they made this step because they are in need of so much new personal and they can't rely only on the persons that are browsing their websites in search for jobs? Or is there other purpose behind their actions?

Personally i find it hard to believe that all listed agencies are in need so many people that they came to the conclusion that a joint virtual fair would do the trick.
What happened to the agency picks you and not vice versa?

No matter the purpose, the idea is good and will be exploited for sure by other potential employers

When you trace the link back, it points to servers in Arlington VA, which then trace directly to CACI - recruiters for the Feds.

Which should give you an indication of some of the jobs they are having trouble trying to fill.

Thanks guys, my PeerBlock does not allow me to go to either site you have posted. I have it set to block all gov sites.

Sounds like a good idea though. Instead of it costing money to set up and the limitations of a real Career Fair. People from all over the world can go.

Well I guess we are moving towards a global country. Might just as well hire someone from Afghanistan to become a FBI agent. Nothing wrong with that.
