Gossip is flying in the town of Leeds, but it's not typical talk for small town Maine.
A local couple says Bigfoot is real and he's living nearby. Monday morning a pair spotted a 7 foot tall, hairy man crossing the road near the Greene/Leeds town line. And they're not alone. Over the last 25 years, There have been numerous Bigfoot sightings, leaving locals to believe there may be some truth to it. And it's getting enough traction that a crypto zoologist visited to area to do his own investigation.

There were stories like this periodically when I lived in Maine.

The northern woods are wild and given the fact that Most of Maine is unoccupied forest anything could live up there and go undiscovered for years and years.

If I recall correctly there were several mountain lion sightings up there too.

I have never been able to make sense of Bigfoot or Yeti...as far as I know (and I could be wrong) there is nothing in the human fossil record that comes anywhere close...and it would have to be human since other than birds we are the only bipeds.
