Does the Ignore button work for Mutter/Chat/u2u?

Explanation: I was just wondering if I place some members on ignore, will I still have to view their mutter and chat comments ect?

Mods, Does ignore work in Mutter and Chat or even u2u's?

Personal Disclosure: OL has never "Ignored" any member so far and unfortunately this may change rapidly due to recent events.

Just guessing it can be done but isn't worth the time to code. Plus, each one of those would add extra queries for every load/refresh etc. which would cause lag. Those reasons plus the fact that the site is in the process of a complete redesign makes me think now is not a good time.

I'm sure if my answer is not correct a staff member can guide you.

Ignore doesn't work for u2u's, so I'd imagine it doesn't work for chat or mutter either.

Think of it as a character building experience.

Personal Disclosure: I'm contemplating my options now that I'm more aware of the situation! Seems the mutter free side of the website looks quite attractive at the moment. U2U's can be deleted before reading and Chat is an exclusive login that I rarely use and so my concern was with mutter and its not like mutter earns OL any applause, stars and or flags! Decoupling myself from mutter should be as easy as loggin off and not logging into BTS ever again!

P.S. My Character is just fine, because if I want to have a flame war I'll go to the appropriate place elsewhere on the web for that kind of ego play! ATS is clearly not about reputations and or feelings, but is totally about the facts regardless of those other two factors, and so to snuff out any current or future fires as regards to myself, I'll just remove my fuel and my fresh breath of air from the furnace!

Duzey is right OL. Ignoring your problems doesn't always work in real life, maybe it does in the online world but not where im from. As your seen from my numerous threads, I have been spit on and kicked and hit with $*** multple times from mutlple people that I have developed a sort of "thick skin" that is nearly impervous to most direct attacks from fellow ATS user's and if it wasn't for those bastards that slowly but surely tortured me with their rantings about my realism then I would just never come back to ATS at all! The lesson im trying to bring here OL is that you have a choice to ignore or not ignore but if the problem doesn't get dealt with soon it gets big and hungry and comes back to bite you in the a$$. I hope this helped even if it is in a small way, but you got to hang in there and remember to do what you do best and "Deny ignorance first" as stated in your avatar. You can do it

While I can certainly understand the desire to press a button and make someone magically disappear from your world and while it may lower your blood pressure, it doesn't solve the underlying issues. However, if those underlying issues happen to be against the T&C, then a complaint should be filed.

Something I learned a long time ago is that it is my choice to read a post, respond to a post and get upset. I have all the power over me and I'm not giving it away to anyone by allowing them to get under my skin. Take control of your destiny, young man.
