i live in ohio...we always had to do science current events...yeah its the right one cuz i was in middle school at the tiime also...it would be have to be travelin pretty damn fast though to be on a collison course with earth maybe it will cause some effects in are magnetic fields if it gets close enough though

Now that you're talking about it, I too remember !
I used to read science magazines when I was younger (well actually, I still do... not the same magazines, but yet...). They were talking about a tenth planet, that would have been huge (even bigger than Jupiter ?
), and its orbit would have been perpendicular to the orbit of the other planets (explaining why we're having a hard time finding it). They were talking about it as if they were very near to finding it. And all of a sudden, nothing.
Eh ! Now I'm thinking about something ! Of course, if Nibiru was heading towards Earth, we would have seen it by now. But what if "getting close to Earth" would have meant crossing Earth's orbital plan, but from very far away, like in Hoort's cloud ? It would then send toward us thousands of asteroids... Just giving my idea.

I don't know how many times i have to tell people this. Everyone says that we would have seen planet x by now if it was out there. Well I hate to burst all your bubbles, but they have seen it, and it was visible from earth. It was moving so damn fast that it was out of our solar system in a few days. It came and went back in the year 2003. They called it the NEAT comet. It was twice the size of jupiter, and NASA didn't see it until it was only 2 months away. 2 months warning, and then it was gone. This is an object TWICE the size of jupiter. The nucleus was that big, if you add its tail, it was bigger than the sun. And they didn't spot it until it was 2 months away. Here is an interesting video about a bunch of different things, near the end of the video it talks about the NEAT comet, and its predicted path.

www.the-rabbits-hole.com...

NASA has told everyone it has an orbit of 37,000 years, but this could be a lie. Because obviously they wouldn't tell anyone if it was coming back. But some believe that it wasn't a comet at all, and that it was a brown dwarf star. The sun shot a massive solar flare it when it went by it. This thing nearly hit the sun. They don't understand why it didn't have a much greater effect on everything else, but this thing went through our solar system, and didn't cause any problems. But isn't it amazing that something twice the size of jupiter went through our solar system, the biggest comet ever discovered, and they didn't tell anyone about it? Thats something that should make front page news, but no, no one even knew about it until long after the fact, which was only news to people who actually looked it up. IF it is coming back from its sling shot around the sun in 2012, it will be passing by earth rather close, between earth and the sun. It was have a massive gravitational effect, which could cause the oceans of the world to be pulled toward it, creating a 2 mile high wave. The comet(star) will take 7 days to finish its effect on earth.... bible anyone? Anyway watch the video and tell me what you think, video seems to take a minute to load, so be patient, its worth watching.

The article you read had nothing to do with conspiracy or Niburu or anything lol. First you have to realize that "planet x" is simply a name given to bodies past Pluto that haven't yet been discovered. When the magazine's title said "PLanet x Discovered" it was probably referring to Eris or Sedna (Icy dwarf bodies beyond Pluto). If it was 2002, Pluto was technically still a planet so they considered everything else they found a planet at first. As a matter of fact, it was the discovery of all these small icy drawfs that changed the way we look at and classify Pluto.

I remember in the mid 80s reading about planet x also. It was just a name given to refer to an unkown planet yet to be discovered. The magazine was probably removed because these icy bodies were no longer considered planets. Wouldn't that make more sense than the government trying to hide a gigantic Star headed this way? But you're free to get freaked out if you want.
