This is the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for the Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) Demonstration Laboratory from the Department of Homeland Security; I must admit that I find it amusing that the DHS Security Certificate is 'invalid'. Bypass to download the pdf.

The contract was consequently awarded to the 'non-profit' Draper Labs

I was thinking if they walked entire Congress through this thing.

Asked them a few relavent questions.

No big surprise, lots of Military Industrial Complex inbreeding/crossover in the corporate bios.

There can be no doubt that this is somehow related to unreasonable search and seizure, just like the body scans.

I don't understand why these are not challenged by the ACLU.

I'm not sure what scares me most:

1. The very idea that Homeboy Security is extending its reach to local "events"

2. The questions that homeboy from Homeboy Security is asking the test subject.

3. The idea that this intrusion is remotely warranted, wanted or even lawful.

The founding fathers would puke and send Paul Revere off for another horse ride.

I was thinking about this a little more... It's a bandaid, like big pharma, like monsanto, like cancer, like AIDS, the flu, like bankers, like everything. They pretend to fix the "symptom" of the problem without trying to cure the root cause. Of course you can't make a sh*tload of money if you provide the cure but you sure can by providing "maintenance!"

In this case, the PTB create a "terrorism" issue, this requires certain measures that by applying technology will have the appearance of providing security. The root cause however is greed and corruption within the government and their handlers, the banking industry along with the foreign policy of creating larger empires through war and financial control. They don't care what we think or the countries that are assimilated think or that everyone hates them or wants to see them swinging at the end of a rope, as long as they can protect themselves to carry on with the greed and corruption while being protected from all of "us."

These FAST units provide two services, 1.) the shifting of taxpayer funds to "friends of the regime" and I think it was Lenin that said "A capitalist will sell you the rope you will hang him with if he can make profit on it" or in this case "We can take the money from the people and then screw them" and 2.) monitoring and control for the media giants (like I said before) to prevent alleged copyright infringement.

Apart from those two things, I don't see what other use FAST has? Better change government fast, all governments.

Cheers - Dave

Very very disturbing. This is our future? In airports, concerts, political events? What will they do if the machine convicts someone who is innocent? This should not be.

Pretty sure we already convict innocent people. Just sayin'.

Besides the fact if you're apprehended before the crime, then necessarily you're innocent.

I was just wondering Sean . If I decided to take a Cruise Ship From the US to Europe , would I be " Processed " in the same manner as Passengers are now in Airports ? Would Body Scanners be used on those who Board Cruise Ships ?

I think we need to ammend the text of the fourth ammendment. It currently reads:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I feel it should read:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures by any agent in the employ of the federal government, its various agencies or parts, or by any agent of a private entity acting at the behest of the federal government or federal legislation or regulation, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The only reason systems like this are and will remain legal is because these searches (and they do meet the definition of searches in my opinion) are carried out by private business entities and not directly at the hands of the government.

This post reminded me of something...
My mom worked for the census bureau for 33 years before she retired and i remember them putting in cameras that somehow measured your body heat signature and the people watching the cameras could tell if your were tense and act accordingly.
This was almost ten years ago now i wonder if this may be the more advanced form of those "cameras"????

I've been thinking the same thing for a long time.

Why can't we have a place where we are free to do as we will?

Everybody feels like it's their right to control somebody else, never realizing, or perhaps caring, that in the meantime someone is trying to control them.

next thing it will be fitted in houses by law and people will have to answer these questions twice a day, then every body will feel safe.

I would feel safer from my wife. Seriously, if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.

Sorry that was sarcasm.
