What do you think of his idea?

The system appears to be smoke and mirrors to make money and maintain control by acting as an otherwise useless medium between people who produce content and people who want that content.

Isn't that what the "IC Issuer" is for? User uploads content, and then must receive "IC units" from the "IC Issuer," and it is these that are exchanged for money. So content creators are made dependant on an intermediary.

Great point. Systems designed with middlemen seem to be built for profit and not in the interest of the whole.

Knowledge currency is kind of a general concept that has parallels in forums like Slashdot or ATS. Even Usenet groups often have reward based systems and it is common for posters to "patent" their ideas which are then passed down or more fully ex plained in a hierarchical manner. What is a little spooky is that this shooter was a 9/11 truther? That hits close to home here on ATS. How many other forums discuss the truther movement?

Probably a lesson we are supposed to learn here somewhere.
