Looks like it could have been the 6.5

But is it possible that something "medium" like this could be felt 700 km away strong enough to force people out of their homes and on to the street!???

Oh, it was definitely that quake. But looking at this TWO HOURS and fifteen minutes later, I have my doubts as well that it was just a 6.5. It is still reverberating, after all this time, around the planet. And that is not typical, at least from what I've seen, of a 6.5- not for that long. That is more typical of a 7 or 7.5+.

I've caught the USGS in an error only once before, so they are rare, but they do happen. I think it was bigger than a 6.5. More like a 7 or 7.5. And it seems also that with a 22 km depth, it would almost have to be for it to keep ringing that long.

If the whole HAARP thing is true and they can create earthquakes and with all the MSM attention they are getting lately and taking into account that we are not having an "abnormal" amount for the year, we perhaps are being set up for a big display of this capibility. Perhaps they will create "the big one" in CA. This would enable TPTB to step in and "come to the rescue", in turn taking away more freedoms

I'm not sure what contrite attitude you're referring to, but I think amazing had a pretty good point. Just because he/she mentioned someone on here who's consistently been knowledgeable on this topic doesn't mean that they're worshipping anyone.

If anything, I think you might have meant the opposite of contrite, but I digress.

Back on topic, I'm really glad how fast news travels on here. I do think there are a lot of big earthquakes at the moment, but sometimes a big one triggers others while the earth tries to reach an equilibrium. I think we should be careful, but I also don't think it's anything too out of the ordinary. I'm interested in what's causing all these events but don't see it as an end of the world scenario.
