Chaos, just call me Ceri. Much easier to try to spell. ANYHOO, I tend to be the same way, and I have to consciously control my face and my emotions. People tell me I look angry when I am just concentrating on something or thinking about something. It is an ongoing process to learn to control it, trust me, I know. That is why I asked those questions. I ask them of myself when I am getting overloaded with the negativity surrounding me. Like Tragic and Cags, I sing. I also tell jokes, off color if necessary, dance a jig, or do something bizarre to shock those around me into smiles, so that I can smile as well. OR, I just make them think I am weird in some way, so that they aren't paying attention or are distracted from the negative. If you cannot make yourself respond in a positive way to others' negativity, then make them change their behavior and that will help. Give it a try and let us know what happens. (BTW, show tunes work well when in company of others. They usually find it amusing if you break out in OOOOOOOOOOOKlahoma, or I feel pretty, oh so pretty, or I want to be in America. Last two are from West Side Story and yes, I did just seriously date myself. Oh well. I like them.)edit on 9-12-2010 by Ceriddwen because: Spontaneous yoga poses make people smile and try it themselves. Just as a thought.

Panda, I work with a lot of people your age. It's just the nature of the age group. To make things more interesting, and I dare say bareable for you, observe how your class mates interact with each other and the adults out school. Having a understanding of others and why they do the things they do will be a helpful tool for the rest of your life. It may even help with the frustration you have with your class mates. Best case scenario you might even get to know some well enough to become friends.
I promise you, in a few years the days your living now will not seem so bad.

Caggy,
The cresent moon is a powerful symbol to many cultures in regards to occult mystery.
CRESCENT MOON: A symbol of the aging goddess (crone) to contemporary witches and victory over death to many Muslims. In Islamic lands, crescent can be seen enclosing a lone pentagram.
When dealing with the power of the crone, mistress of time and space you need to be careful. The crone doesnt have to play by the rules.
Thats just my interpretation. But all in all I would say that you are remembering an old ritual as I've seen many altar cloth that look very similar to your drawing.

Chaos - In your last post you stated that you cannot seem to think of anything positive while being bogged down with the negative. (Hope I got that correct) There is an old trick that I have implemented at times for myself and others in my life for situations like this.
It's as simple as some sticky notes (post-its). Write something positive and uplifting, then place them in places you are sure to see them throughout the day. Something that will remind you to take a deep breath, relax and focus on bigger better things. The more you focus on the negative, the more power and life force you give it. I understand that some things just cannot be shrugged off or ignored. That is fine. Difficulties build character, take it as a learning lesson and handle them to the best of your ability. But to allow them to take over will do you nor anyone else any good. It's hard but remember that you're strong enough to overcome anything.
Love you all to pieces!
Panda - Welcome to the thread hon. You're only 16? hehe Honestly, if I were you I'd be thrilled if I was 16 and already knowing the advantages of meditation and such.

I had an absolutely fulfilling day today.
Met three new spirit animals in an out of the blue shaman journey.
Had a bunch of other things "click" into place. Like I literally felt the click.
Plus, I got TWO special gecko lullabies sang to me tonight from the geckos at my house.
I'm feeling positively excited for this weekend.
Good luck all.

So, you all know that I have had encounters with something on and off again while I sleep. It has been a while now, but it happened again last night. I was in a dream that involved a place I have visited several times in my dreams, though I have never physically been there. I laid down to sleep in the dream and was blanketed from behind by something that was heavy and felt very dark to me. I kept saying in the dream, I can't breathe, I can't breathe, and it was true, I was suffocating from the weight and the darkness of it. As soon as I realized it was truly happening and that I wasn't breathing, I, both in the dream and in reality, made myself stop and take a deep breath. Then another and another until the panic passed and I was breathing normally again. The pressure lifted from me and the darkness disappeared and I opened my eyes to see the dawn in this reality. I felt triumphant and powerful, and I felt that I accomplished something important. I controlled the situation entirely, as soon as I realized what was going on. Within five minutes, I was back asleep, without the amulet, and nothing else happened, other than that I returned to the place I was in before and finished up the dream. If TS or Seeker or GM has any idea what this thing is that keeps testing me, I would appreciate some insight. Sometimes it looks demonic as I have written here, and other times, like last night, it is a dark heavy presence. Does that sound familiar to you? And for the sleep paralysis folks, it wasn't. I was thrashing like a caged animal. I could move just fine, just couldn't get it off of me until I controlled myself.
