Yo Tragic,

Here are my tips in the matter.

Stones can carry both high and low frequencies of vibrations.

Different rocks and stones do different things.
Get this. Some gemstones (at least in my opinion) suck up the negative energy around it.

Once it has done this and reached its capacity, it is then crucial to toss that gemstone or rock into the ocean, a river, etc, or bury it in the ground. It's task is now done.

Other stones/rocks are able to store positive energy, acting like a positive energy battery, which you can plug into and get a jolt of light energy.

There are many more categories, but I don't feel like typing them all out. Now that you know the basics, you have the capability of discovering the other ones. Good luck and happy findings!

I have gemstones... they have been sitting around a while. they are amethyst, aquamarine, peridot and red garnet. Do they hold negative energy? Can I get it out of them? I think I once read I should put them in the sun.

I have no desire to get rid of them or bury them.

No worries. That is only one way. Yes, putting it out in the sun is great. Also there were some suggestions from other members that should come in handy.

oh, I didn't know those also applied to gemstones. I was thinking they were for rocks and stones taken directly out of nature by hand. These are all cut and processed. I'm not sure why I was thinking that made a difference.

I don't really like plugging my own threads on someone else's but you might be interested in reading this one as it relates to cleansing and charging stones. www.abovetopsecret.com...

I have found that my stones a few times have shown me that they are not just rocks, but really have properties, powers, energies that help us if we are respectful of them.

I like to cleanse mine by burying them in the earth for a day or two, or I have special small wooden boxes that I lay them in a bed of sea salt. One rock I have is Larimar which is also known as the Atlantis Stone that I laid in a bed of sea salt inside a sea shell to cleanse it when I first got it. It felt appropriate. You will find that many people have different ways of doing it and I think that's because the rocks will let us know what they like if you listen. That's what I think and it seems to have worked well for me. Oh sometimes I run them under water too. Be careful though, some rocks will break down in salt water, some people recommend the salt water bath but just remember to research your rocks first before doing that.

My opinion is that you do not have to get rid of them. Just cleanse them in any manner that we've been speaking of. The aquamarine and the amethyst shouldn't be put in the sun too long, they can fade. I've successfully cleansed my garnet in the sun but mine is not a cut gemstone, it is a polished specimen. I'm not sure about peridot though. I'd bury them myself. I've read that it is a way for the rock to relive it's past, and to me that seems like a good thing.

edit: sorry! I just re read your post and realized you said you didn't want to bury them. I didn't mean to be insensitive. Moonlight works too. The moon is powerful, but the reason I don't use that method is because I am not able to be open about my beliefs with my family so I can't chance them finding my stuff around and me having to explain. They are of a different religious belief and they would think I'm either crazy or evil. Hehehe

Interesting, how does he compare in your journey's to what you have read? Do you think this may be the spirit of Cuchulainn? Can you tell me about the first time you encountered him?

On these journeys (this question is for any who have the luck to make a similar journey) when you have time to reflect on them, how much do you think your mind impacts on how things look? What I'm trying to ask, do you think individually the plane you go to would look different to anyone else?

When you journey into the spirit world intention plays a large role in what may present itself to you. Before entering the Otherworld I had blown a horn to symbolically call out to Cuchulainn as an ally in the experience.

The spirits will use your memory to piece together a visual language that some equate to "movie like" when in the feel movement of the experience. So for this instance, he is exactly as I imagined him, but who he is, his temperment and mannerism is not something you can expect to know from reading. But even behaviors of beings in the spirit world will draw upon your memories of living moments to construct how they speak and how they act. He should appear as you know him, but the overwhelming qualities of who that spirit is should be more then similar to everyone who journeys to him with subtle colourings from each journeyer.

The first time I encountered Cuchulainn was on Vancouver Island, the snow was falling and I was helping a friend in a piece of shamanic work we are collaborating with. There was a horn on her desk that I was instantly drawn to and kept staring at. Eventually she noticed and said "Do you know who Cuchulainn is?"

Needless to say I was a bit taken back at this coincidence as I had been reading up on him previously and had been drawn to the archetype that he represented. Many beleive that he is an ascended master and my recent journey that I have written about proves this fact to me. Back to the story, I said yes I knew who Cuchulainn was. She explained how she had intentionally linked her horn with the spirit of Cuchulainn in an agreement to request assistance in situations that spirit deemed necessary.

Ascended Masters dont have to help us - They choose to - Only after we ask, consciously or unconsciously.

I blew the horn and began a drum journey where I eventually encountered Cuchulainn. To be honest hes a bit dismissive and isnt going to entertain or play. When hes done with you, he is done. Kindness or gentleness is not requisite but fairness and truth are essential. I knew after this meeting that I had just met an incredible ally.

Your mind shapes how things look under the forming hand of spirit, but there is more then enough wiggle room for surprises from spirits, something like an epiphany.

Everyones spirit world should look different, but the more you refine the practice, other adepts will begin to see the exact same things you see, more or less.

That is truly amazing. I'm jealous of your abilities and experiences. I studied the american indian meditation techniques of the dream catcher. However I never had any experiences.

How long have you been at this?

There is no need to be jealous of something you can easily have for yourself. I have been working with the spirit world for about 6 years and have been involved in an apprenticeship with a local shaman for nearly 3 years.

The best way to jump start your process would be in a group setting of grounded individuals who wont get too "out there" and bring back all this stuff that makes no sense to a beginner.

The first step before anything is trusting what you see and to remember that everyone DOES see. For our entire lives we have been taught that the images in our minds eye are useless imaginary thoughts that hold no meaning over important affairs. It takes anywhere from 6 months to a year to remember that part of your mind that is the connection to the spirit world and to turn the dribbling faucet into a full pressure stream and evetually you can widen the pipeline to the spirit world, more clarity, more understanding, more stamina until eventually you are standing as a bridge between both worlds simultaniously drawing upon intuitions from both sides and living your life as your are meant to, which is to live as your higher self has chosen.

What city do you live in? I may know some credible circles for you to attend if you wish to begin the journey.

Thanks for the feedback, I live in the southeast US. If you know some towns down here than I will U2U with my exact town. As I've said on here I'm a MSW and need to be careful of giving away too much that might impact any clients I have.

If I was to do this without having a discussion first with someone like yourself I could see me thinking I might have been slipped some drugs. How did you feel with your first experience?

I have some shamanic friends in the north east in New York, I'll ask them if they can recommend any groups near the coastal areas. You can be 100% private with your personal developement into the shamanic journey. Many of my own clients have no idea what I am doing or how I get information, A traditional shaman doesnt explain anything to his client, he simply acts on a request for assistance.

So unless you get up and start dancing and singing in tongues, no client should think you've been doing some strange shamanic journeying.

My first experience was bad, I laid there and felt like everything was blocked, I knew something was there but I didnt have the trust in my own ability to grasp it, then listened to everyone else who easily spoke about their connection to guides and power animals. Needless to say, it can be difficult and the words of encouragement from others to keep trying seem like they dont help at all. The only way to walk towards this mastery is to keep doing it, know that the spirit world is everything and reforge your birthright that is a direct link to the spirit world.

As for drugs, well, A drug is predictable with measured affects. Plants that induce a shamanic journey are not drugs because their effect is not measurable when taken by an experienced student of shamanism. But you are not allowed to talk about the specifics of mind altering substance on ATS so I will respect that. Let me point out if I may that the power of plants is an incredible force to be reckoned with and they truly wish to help us.

Caggy,

The cresent moon is a powerful symbol to many cultures in regards to occult mystery.

CRESCENT MOON: A symbol of the aging goddess (crone) to contemporary witches and victory over death to many Muslims. In Islamic lands, crescent can be seen enclosing a lone pentagram.

When dealing with the power of the crone, mistress of time and space you need to be careful. The crone doesnt have to play by the rules.

Thats just my interpretation. But all in all I would say that you are remembering an old ritual as I've seen many altar cloth that look very similar to your drawing.

Not true - It is more likely tension in the shoulders and neck area that blocks the flow of blood to the brain temporarily causing pain. In all my medical interactions, no one with migranes has a brain tumor.

Shame on you for claiming to know a medical condition and deliver a death sentence without medical information.

Heres a list of symptoms:

www.nhs.uk...

I know headaches and migraines are not the same things, but I suffer from migraines and had to have some tests done to test my reflexes, if they were off I would of needed to have a brain scan.

I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong I'm just putting the information out there.

I can't sleep. I'm too excited.

For some reason tommorow it feels like I'm going to meet someone who I knew in a past life. It's a strange intuition, and it just feels totally plausible to me.
