Yeah, it is down here in Texas too!! I walked outside with a friend and I said, "Damn, is it snowing again!!!??? Oh, that's just the moonlight." Yeah, it's exceptionally bright tonight.

I stepped outside a few hours back (I live in FL btw) and thought the exact same thing. Just whiter and brighter than 'normal'. Obviously being a full moon helps, but still it seems to be brighter than full moons in recent memory.

@Saturn - great episode, good call!

Yeah. A few years ago, I walked outside and the moon was blood red, and, yeah, I do mean blood red. I started making phone calls that night.

No....While it has been snowing down here in Texas, there isn't any left on the ground, and I noticed how bright the moon was too. Yes, it being full is a contributing factor, but it's almost like looking at a halogen lightbulb tonight. I don't know. Weird.

Yes, I am in North Georgia and the moon is full and bright and beautiful! Noted that it is not quite round tonight though, kind of egg shaped on one side.

For a full moon it sure is tiny tonight...is the moon moving away from earth or something?

Well it probably has to do with atmospheric conditions...right now the Earth is furthest away from the Sun in it's orbit so more than likely it's atmospheric conditions

Like I've said, Snow reflects moonlight back out into the atmosphere..there is a lot of snow in the northeast and in Canada.

Plus on top of that there's a full moon and if you have clear skies it will appear brighter.

Who was worrying? It was just an observation that the moon was bright is all. Just because this is a conspiracy website doesn't necessarily mean we're speaking about "the second coming of jesus"

I know Wally, I was just having fun.

I just think its funny how someone can post something innocent like " It's raining today" and someone will respond with the most outlandish thing, .... that was the inspiration for my post.

I'm in Oregon and I noticed this also tonight. I stepped out to have a smoke after dark and was a little surprised at how bright it was outside. Definitely bright, but not too out of the ordinary IMO. Actually, whats more weird to me is that I live in one of the most overcast and rainy States in the Union and I happened to have a clear night this evening to see the moon and reply to this thread!

Hi guys.

Last night the Moon was beautiful ! ( The Netherlands )

There was a foggy like clouds floating in front of the moon.
These clouds caused the light to form a corona white light and the all the colours of the rainbow around it

A real breath taking site.
