Just In : Tsunami Alert All Over Japan After Huge Quake

This just in... large earthquake in Japan:

a 7.3 Mag.Earthquake downgraded later on to 7.0 Hit Southern Japan Islands Half an hour ago .. A Tsunami Watch Has Been Issued for the coasts of Japan ,Taiwan ,South Korea ,Eastern China ,Hawaii and Alaska .

That was the title of the news article "Just in...", and I had searched for "earthquake japan" in the thread search and nothing came up. So, you may have nothing better to do with your time than sit around searching the site for every possible title, but I certainly do.

well I think there were a few predictions that this was bound to happen ... Something must be brewing. As long as it don't trigger anything at Yellow Stone.. cross my toes

We just had an 8.5 EQ in South America now. Please no BS assessment. the CME if heading our way arrives today or tomorrow. Could this be related?

A CME has no effect until it arrives.
I don't see how an earthquake can be related to something that hasn't occurred.

Massive Magnitude 8.8 Quake Hits Chile

BREAKING NEWS — A massive magnitude-8.8 earthquake struck near Concepcion, Chile, early on Saturday, the USGS reported, shaking buildings and causing blackouts in parts of the capital of Santiago.

A Reuters witness reported shaking buildings and loss of electricity in Santiago, which is north of the epicenter.

The earthquake struck 56 miles northeast of Concepcion at a depth of 34 miles at 3:34 a.m./1:34 EST/0643 GMT. The quake was initially reported at a magnitude of 8.3.

The Reuters witness reported a very strong shaking lasted for 10 to 30 seconds.

A tsunami warning was issued early on Saturday for Chile and Peru and a tsunami watch was issued for Ecuador, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported.

The center said: "An earthquake of this size has the potential to generate a destructive tsunami that can strike coastlines near the epicenter within minutes and more distant coastlines within hours.
