That derivation of the word television is opinion. I have mine. I have looked deep into the roots of words and it goes way further than you think. My explanation makes more sense to me but different strokes, different folks.

Looks quite conclusive to me. This is the kind of music the mainstream listens to. Ironically, you will find this almost "in your face" occult symbolism spread all over Rihanna's work, Beyonce, Jay-z, Lady gaga, etc.

These are individuals who metaphorically "sold their soul to the devil" for fame and fortune. The large portion of the messages are highly subliminal and usually are not directly detected by our conscious mind. However, our subconscious is undoubtedly barraged with regressive propaganda symbolizing greed, materialism, evil, etc. It can tend to do a lot of damage to our psyche over time. I am a clinical psychologist in training and in my firm opinion based on knowledge regarding the unconscious and subconscious and other subtle layers of consciousness, I can tell you that we potentially absorb symbols/images/information like a sponge absorbs water.

Put the dots together.. You'll see this everywhere--i'm not surprised this was found.

I think you're reaching here TS.

The lyrics and the video seem like a poor attempt by both Wayne and the director to convey some level or artistry. Hot chick = temptation = devil...great metaphor there, Weezy. And a song like this, entitled On Fire, why wouldn't there be flames and hellish symbols? Pentagrams, white/black, red backgrounds are not exclusively occult anymore (maybe that's your point?).

Do I think mainstream music is contributing to the corruption of the youth? Absolutely. Are major record labels run by "initiates"? Probably. Is Lil Wayne initiated? Very doubtful. He's just another tool.

And yet another generalization, which is incorrect. Though Wayne may or may not have a ghost writer, and though a lot of vocal artists do have ghost writers.... the generalization that everyone who has a message has a ghost writer is just silly.

Lots of us rappers write our own stuff. In fact, a rapper is nothing more than someone promoting a message. But where rappers and singers are different is that rappers are judged by their peers regarding "how real" they are...meaning are they tellin their story or are they making stuff up.

Here you have a great example of how an artist who specializes in the use of metaphor (rapper) can find a verbal similarity (which comes through very clear when heard rather than read) between those who have authority over him now and those who had authority over his great grandparents as slaves in the very same country... It's the use of symbol and metaphor to prove a point and better yet to make the listener take note...

Whether you agree with the message of his song or not, his use of metaphor within the context of civil disobedience, is rather clear. This is what rappers do... we are also impressionists... but we use rhyme instead of paint.

I do understand rap. As i understand all other types of music. I'm not hatin im exposin. I use to listen to all these artists when i was in high school. It influenced the way I acted, dressed, and thought. But thank God I was awoken from that crazy #, and was shown the truth about many celebrities. What do you think about this by eminem? So Jessica Simpson's house where they filmed a reality show was filled with cameras. That is a shocker. It is kind of funny the only two place it shows up are God Like Productions and Alien-Earth.
