I think apathy has blinded our even seeing the line. I think this summer will be the tell if you see alot of protests we may have a chance but if we see nothing we are screwed. They want us to look so badly the other way they have even manipulated the stock market. Because as long as that is good they can point and say everything is alright. It is truly sad how many lies we will take.

I hope I did not break any rules posting this.

And flag for you for a good thread OP

Well, Sean48, my line in the sand, is wherever I am at that exact moment in life.

What I mean to say is that my life is an ever-changing and constantly shifting thing.

I learned a long time ago to never have one stance over another.

Except on very certain issues, which were ones where you have to build your foundation.

Racism : Self-Empowerment or Being an Ignorant Bully, and Suppressing Freedom

Racism, is one of my lines in the sand, you are most welcome to come read.

I am someone who believes in a great many things and racism is not something I support.

Political divisiveness is another one I do not support, the "left-wing" and "right-wing" insanity, something we continually let happen in America.

I do not support the "left-wing" nor the "right-wing", I am middle-ground.

Remember the saying, It's Hard To Soar With Eagle's, When You're Surrounded By Turkeys?

Well, when we as citizens allow our political partisan stances stand in our way, we not only become easily divided, it is something that can be taken advantage of by those in power, those people in Washington D.C.

My line in the sand, is not just one line, but legion.

I draw lines in the sand, all around me, and I dare any to enter.

It is up to them, whether they enter as a friendly, or hostile person.

If they enter as friendly, then they are welcome, if they enter an hostile, well I make sure they never forget that, because I am a powerful person.

Power is not just in physical strength, but in knowledge, and wisdom of know-how.

King of the Mountain is one of favorite games and any and all who cross those lines, find out I am not someone easily knocked off the top.

my line in the sand is conformity.

Democrats, Republicans, Green Party, Constitutional Party, i mean the list goes on....but you get my point.

Anyone who can't say "my political views are my own" and then discuss what THEY feel, and instead choose to adopt the views of someone else.....that is my line in the sand

I don't know what to say, honestly...

Every time I hear about another foreclosure, or some other friend getting 'laid off' without any wrongdoing, I can't help but think about the profits generated by the big corporations and banks. Why do honest, good, hardworking people have to suffer for the greed of a few? Why do we let them?
Sure, the MSM keeps people info-tained and unaware/apathetic/ignorant, but c'mon people, there seem to be an awful lot of us who do see through the BS and yet we are so spread out that we can't do a thing. I could go stand in the streets all day dishing out pamphlets, but who's going to be there when the time comes to put food out on the table for the family?

Nah, it almost seems like we lost the battle, since we are up against people:

A - without financial restraints
B - without moral restraints

...how can we the people:

A - with financial restraints
B - with moral restraints

...ever stand a chance?

Trust me, I'll be out and about fighting the good fight if need be, but for now the chances are too slim for me to risk my familis' well being in an attempt to wake up the sleeping giant.

I think that by the time (or if) this were to actually happen, it would come about in one of two ways... either through slow assimilation and eroding of liberties in a way that is just enough to not provoke an uprising with enough leeway to allow the people to grow accustomed to this and then erode some more... (or) it will be because of some horrific tragedy, natural or otherwise.

In either situation, it's my belief that the majority of the people will not look at this "boots in the street" as a negative thing. It will be accepted.

This is slow moving... but it is moving...

I drew my line in the sand 20 or so years ago and thus far, it has not been breached. If that time comes, I already know what I will do. Til then, I'll just glide along, try to inform folks around me and enjoy life as much as I can.

Do people have lines anymore? I thought that was gone after the 60's/70's in this country. Since when has anyone stood up resoundingly against something since then? Just a simple but effective sign that American schools work. No, I don't mean they educate you. They make you exactly as dumb as they're supposed to.

But my line has to be similar to a lot of peoples'. When I feel my life or the life of my loved ones is in danger, I will act. Short of that, it's a bit of a grey area. I will defend my property, but typically not at the expense of another person's life. I will defend myself if threatened, but only to the extent that said threat is neutralized. Basically, I will do what I have to do to live a life without fear and for the wellbeing of those I care about. Nothing else really matters. I suppose I could go on and on about revocations of my freedoms which I hold dearly (and practice daily), but more and more of those seem to be stripped away daily and nobody else seems to really care. And who wants to be that lone "kook" standing outside with a sandwich board riniging a bell? Principals are one thing, reality is another thing entirely.
