That's the thing, isn't it? It's very easy to know an event will happen someday...very hard to know when. Plenty of traders and investors were
fully aware that bubble conditions were underway in the late 90s or the 2000s and went along with the game because they knew there was still money to
be made. "Being early is the same as being wrong," says one old Wall Street maxim.
Gerald Celente has a good track record of calling events with pretty close timing; he nailed the '87 market crash, the fall of communism, the bust of
the Internet bubble, and the '08 financial mess with excellent accuracy in date setting. (He's also made his share of errors). Off the top of my
head, I can't think of anyone else with as good timing in terms of big macroeconomic and socio-political crackups. But nobody is immortal.
