People posting about Migraine.
Migraine is NOTHING like Cluster Headache(Other than the fact that they both happen to be vascular in nature). Cluster Headache is considered to be the most painful medical condition known to science that human beings endure. I can attest to this.
Migraines are much more common, and affect mostly women, where as Clusters affect mostly men.
Women who DO get them, say that they are far more painful than difficult childbirth. This is some SERIOUS pain we are talking about. Concentrated on one side of the head. It is indescribable.
I too have fantasized about drilling into my own head during attacks. Migraines are a vacation in paradise compared to these things, believe me.

They have been referred to as 'suicide headaches.' I agree, there is nothing I have experienced (although I have not given birth!) that compares. The pain is absolutely debilitating. I found that background noise, and some light in the room actually help - although there's no talking to me! Migraine sufferers cannot bear any noise or light.
I've hit my head against the wall before, trying to take my mind off the pain. Excruciating.
For those who would jest, try taking a broom handle and jabbing it into your right eye repeatedly for about two hours. That's nothing compared to a CH.
