Federal Starcraft Reserve

As some of you may already know, the Starcraft 2 beta (a test version of a game) was released recently.
Starcraft 2 is one of the most anticipated PC games of all time, and is a sequel to a game many regard as the best Real Time Strategy game ever made.

A few minutes ago i was watching a replay (a recording of a match that has already been played), and noticed an interesting sign on one of the buildings.

As you can see in the picture, the sign reads:
F.E.D.
Global Elite Control

and on the top of the sign you can see a clear depiction of a Freemasonry symbol.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to mean anything, or Blizzard (the company that develops the games) is just joking around, but i though it's interesting enough to throw it out there.

I will keep my eye out for other such signs.

I have certainly noticed of late that MANY media outlets are using more and more of this type of symbolism.

Is it because they are actually trying to give people a clue?

Or is it simply that researching these subjects is far easier today than it was 15 years ago, and therefore, the symbols are more prevalent?

I certainly dont have the answer, but it is an interesting thing to observe nonetheless.

I also noticed a cool looking symbol on top of one type of Terran building.

It's a bow & arrow, sword, and an eagle, all at the same time.

btw. there are three factions in Starcraft 2.
The Terran faction represents humans.

Again, i'm not sure if this is supposed to mean anything, but i find it interesting.

To me, that one is, without a doubt, Da Vinci's Vatruvian man.

I don't know, Could be a weird star of david, funky pentagram, or worn out cross of some kind.
