"eLLo."
"Did you say hello?"
"No I said eLLo. But close enough."

I am a new member as is obvious. I just want to say this site is killer and I can't get enough. I stayed up for like 38 hours reading stuff on this site when I first stumbled across it, and continue to check it for the latest and greatest every day. Haven't posted much, I think this is my first thread.
I'm a survivalist/outdoors person, but am a bit of a computer nerd as well. I spend my time survival camping, mushroom hunting, and rock hounding from spring to fall, with an occasional trip up to Devils Lake for some extreme up hill rock climbing and down bluff sliding through the snows in the winter. When I'm not in the bush, I'm working on personal projects in excel, power point, and word. One's a survivalist rpg game, the other a mushroom field guide book. Some of my favorite topics on ATS are predictions and prophecies although I know they hardly ever come to pass, I still enjoy reading them. Paranormal topics are of interest also, as well as anything nature or survival related. I'm not really sure what else to type up here, so I guess if you want to know more you'll just have to ask.

Let me be the first to say Welcome!
I look forward to your posts.

I hope to see some of your posts in the Survival Discussion Forum.
I have been considering getting a kit to grow my own mushrooms. Self sufficiency is a good thing!

I LOVE mushroom hunting! I miss it bad, since I don't know what is safe to pick where I live now. No morels here.

Welcome!!! Happy Hunting!

Hey there and welcome, I too am an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy canoeing, fly fishing, hiking, and archery and wildlife observation. I have survival experience as well. I know all my trees and shrubs and wild edibles and some medicinals. Know most of the dangerous mushrooms. Nice to see like minded people around here. My computer skills however are quite limited... no they suck.

Happy trails and keep you nose in the wind and your eyes to the horizon.

Sparky63 - Thanks for the welcoming, and I haven't tried growing mushrooms with a kit yet, but I have grown mushrooms by throwing my unwanted clippings from harvests back into the woods. It was a spot where I never had found any mushrooms, but year later after dispersing my clippings, there was a new patch there.

Bildeberg - Thanks for the welcoming.

Rising Against - Thanks for the welcoming and the information.

novacs4me - Thanks for the welcoming, and yes I love morels! I've been dreaming about them all winter and can't wait for spring. Took the last bag of morels from the freezer a few months ago, lol.

Thanks for the welcoming. I like to canoe and fish as well, although I've never tried fly fishing. Mushrooms are my main study in the woods, I've tried over two dozen edibles, and have identified probably 3 to 4 times as many poisonous ones. I've photographed most of them which will be apart of my field guide. Again thanks for the welcoming.
