That's kind of where I was going with this thread. He still hasn't abandoned his nuclear program. I'm not saying that he isn't intending on developing nukes. But while he's being reluctant to talk to Western powers about his nuclear program he's calling on the rest of the world to reduce their nuclear program capabilities. I find that hypocritical, regardless of how much WMDs he can produce.

Well, for one what do you say to the whitehouse that claims that Iran doesn't even have the capacity to produce enriched uranium up to 20%?

I say that's a good start....

Now how is that related to me "Getting my facts" I simply posted a quote from one of his speeches. Am I responsible for his incessant need to spew rhetoric and disinformation?

I think not.

Good day.

i would say he is pretty accurate in saying that noone can use nukes any more..

if one country used a nuke on another it would start a world war 100000% ..and could well lead to another nuke being used, then another then its bye bye home planet.

nukes really are only worth it when you are the only country that has them and noone can retalliate!

if i could give amadinnerjacket a star and flag i would!

I thought you were taking him at face-value, assuming what he said to be the truth.

I guess I misread you. I didn't mean to make it seem like I was accusing you of being a neocon spreading around disinformation about states in the middle east or anything like that. I thought you were posting that... to try to show me that I was wrong, and, that Iran really has a big nuclear weapons program that we should all be worried about.

i hate the middel east.

Wow, somebody fire the entire public school system, we still have people with basic reading comprehension problems.

They announced 20% enrichment, which is used for medical isotopes. Nuclear weapons=90% enrichment.

I hate stupidity.

Nuclear weapons will bring instant retaliation when used by one nuclear state against another. But when a nuclear weapon is used against your nation by a terrorist group who will you retaliate against ?

Because that's where the problem lies, the connection between states such as Iran and extreme Muslim terrorist groups which are unconstrained by conventional thinking about borders, alliances & the diplomatic niceties.

Nuclear terrorism and nations such as Iran will eventually come together. Iran already gives safe haven to terrorists. There's every chance they fund and arm them too. These terrorists think nothing about the value of human life, they're willing to take out as many innocent people as they can on their own journey to God's judgment.

Yep. The man's word is not to be trusted. He's twisted it, or gone back on it too many times. Wonder why he's so surprised when no one takes him seriously or believes what he says? Hmmm.

In some ways, as noted, Ahmadinejad is right but the reality is always different. A nation that professes to be more more intelligent and more civilized would simply bluff or fudge the numbers for perception purposes. Instead take the billions and spend it on your people, your country, your problems. The enemies on any side don't have 100% accurate information to know the difference, but if it ever hits the fan it won't matter and the conflict won't be isolated.

Its no surprise that the US and her citizens are wallowing in economic misery and, quite frankly, I could care less. So my point here is BS your enemy because in the end it does not matter. Use the money for better purposes. I'm oversimplifying but I think you get the general idea.

Ahmadinejad may be a goofball but his big picture thinking, on occasion, deserves consideration.

In their minds those are freedom fighter.

Let's not drag God into this. We get enough of that type of Rhetoric from Tehran.

Do you know who is really running things in Tehran?

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/1c48208808e6.jpg[/atsimg]
An Al Jazeera report talks about the recently "Executed men" for being "enemies of God"

The pair were convicted of being "Mohareb" or enemies of God, and members of the Kingdom's Assembly, an outlawed pro-monarchist group and the People's Mujahideen, a religious movement

They were also charged with plotting to topple the Iranian government, ISNA said quoting officials.

And a Russian source? Definitely international socialist movement right there. Could be Soros funding the news.
