We do not have years. At most we may have a few months. Gold is down at the moment and that is a good indicator to me that the ptb are up to something soon. They do it consistently.
Stock up on food more than anything else. When hyperinflation hits you won't be able to afford it. The farmers in the u.s. cannot for the most part afford to plant this year and the stocks from last year are not enough. Because most everything else comes from china they have made sure that imports can be shut off at their whim. Stock up, stock up, stock up. It will be of more value than gold or even shelter. Do whatever you can but DO IT NOW!!!
If you can get a hold of organic seeds stock up on them too. Not that gardening will be legal by then.

I appreciate your concerns Unity1 and I concur, this year we may actually face food shortages in the US. Your recommendations are spot on. People should stock up now and get some non-hybrid seeds for a garden. If you haven't got a garden you'll need to get either fertilizer or aged manure.
Horse manure and peanut shells have done very well in my garden.
If you plant nothing else do something easy like beans and squash.
I would also recomment getting a firearm and learning to use it so you can keep what you have if things get bad enough. No harm in being prepared!
when you said food as a weapon i was going to make a joke about my ex-wife's biscuits, hard as rocks and boy could she throw!
In all seriousness food is a perfect means of control, it's just a matter of time before it's tried here in the US.

Starvation; A tactic of warfare as old as mankind. Blockades of any form, are usually bent on starving people into submission. No fortification can hold out forever. Eventually, they must resupply with sustenance. This is why the bunker hold out mentality never wins.

Genetically Engineered Crops are another form of this bending your will to their demands. I suspect in the future, that livestock will also be genetically mutated to only reproduce with certain " controlled and patented " agents that allows reproduction. Otherwise the animal will be technically sterile...

That science will lead to total human population control. No crops, no animal products, and no fertility in humans... all of which will be controlled.

I think I remember reading somewhere a while back, that one of the evil corporate empires was looking into obtaining the patent on "water". With them controlling all sources of it, making anyone who needs it, paying them a royalty! Absurd? Hell, they are already seeking patents on human DNA!

Food as a weapon is only the tip of the iceberg! Our days as free spirits are numbered! We already have serial numbers from the day we're born.i.e Social Security Numbers! They will laser id your retina like a pair of eye wear in the future. Control, control, control...obey, obey, obey. This is Life?

Last summer I planted a garden using only heirloom seeds and had a bad problem with some kind of wilting disease that I'd never had in my garden before. I read on a number of gardening sites that lots of other people had experience this mysterious wilt on their heirloom crops....so I'm thinking it might be a good idea to plant both heirloom seeds and some hybrids.

and for Gods sake do not tell your neighbors... or they are gonna become the bad neighbor you wished you never had...
