If we were told about aliens, we'd kill ourselves?

If there were an intelligent, more evolved population of beings out there, I sure wish that they would come down here and reveal how the earths religions are nonsense. This would surely up the suicide rates for the fanatics, but the end result would be a a saved planet with a species whom can finally get along and evolve.

I see where you're coming from. But that was a time back when the American people still trusted their government and respected their officials as those who were looking out for the interests of the people.

Since that broadcast we've become much more calloused, untrusting, cynical and just plain unimpressed....disinterested even. UNTIL we're directly affected.

I agree with you that that time was a different era.Over the years,we
have been conditioned to think otherwise.A lot of sci-fi movies,starting
in the early 50's,dealt with the subject of UFO's,E.T.'s,and such.As the
years progressed,the movies got more intense and violent on the topics.

I don't think you can make a movie that will scare everyone.We have
been desensitized over the years.Now,the movies have to have more
visual violence,blood,guts and gore to even blink an eye.

I think if Earth was exposed to hostile flesh eating SPACE BUGS many would go insane out of fear. The thing is mabey this is what determines who are the fearless humans and who are not. The best thing to do if people feared them is to do a DISTRICT 9 AND EAT THEM TOO LOL

It's been bugging me about whether to run around waving my arms and screaming...or go for the sinister frown and twitchy face thing? While people are out looting stores and burning cars, I've got my eye on next-door's 72" HD-TV and Audi R8.

The story of Noah is FAR older than the bible itself.

Which tells me, the bible is just a place to find all the magical stories in one place.

Look at the bible like you look at Blockbuster Video. So many different stories to chose from,..... I sure am glad someone thought enought to put them all in one place. It's convieniant.

Perhaps these stories, and making them up, were their way of watching a movie.
