Um... I said you could disagree with me and say that the President has done a good job.

I forgotabout that. He also had his doctors work with him to see he could go without any sleep what so ever so that he could service the nation 24/7.

No doubt that on a number of levels he was a nutter. I think we'll all find out in 10 years (maybe sooner) that Obama's a nutter too.

He wouldn't have won the election if that were true, would he?

Also, I disagree with this premise altogether. Yourself, would you do cut and run and Afghanistan? If not, check your logic.

When power is achieved by convincing the voters that something is good, those with printing presses or television stations rule the society, but are best served by not taking power themselves. Instead, they support those who benefit their self-interest, regardless of the cost to society as a whole (socialized cost), and through legal forms like lobbying, donations, and supportive media portrayals they get these candidates into office. Eventually, the system of oligarchy becomes so entrenched that political candidates solicit various oligarchs for approval in order to get into office, and then are beholden to them in decisions they make. For this reason, democracies generate a massive amount of debate over trivial issues -- abortion, gay marriage, drug legalization and banning hip-hop music -- while ignoring the deeply-seated problems from whose atmosphere of lawlessness oligarchs benefit. Oligarchs usually do not act outside the law, although their legal and passive actions result in higher costs for us all.

Now, my ATS pals, I ask you this: is our President simply incompetent, or is there a plan?

I believe Obama is an exceedingly average joe that is working with an extremely flawed plan. His ideological stance does not allow him to bend his plan. He is not intelligent enough to see this. This is due to his sheltered upbringing.

There are dozens of examples of him pouting because of some real or perceived defeat. He really is not mature enough to lead the world's superpower in these times. Perhaps during a time when the world was experiencing a period of extended peace he might accomplish something, but not during these times that call for strong leadership.

Poll after poll shows that Americans were more dissatisfied with the Republicans than were in favor of obama's policies. A vote against Republicans more than a vote for obama.

Poll after poll now shows that even Americans that voted for obama are now turning against him.

Obama is attempting to govern from the far left, while poll after poll shows that conservatives outnumber liberals in the U.S.

You do the math ...

Obama is a president. President's have limited powers. I think he could have done more with the power he has--like repealing certain executive orders or showing true transparency that he promised...using his pulpit to push for Main St to receive the bailout over Wall St, but in general I blame the lobbyists, the Congress, the Fed, but most of all the apathetic, partisan, American people.

They are the blame for all of this mess for walking knee jerk behind their parties and turning the other way when their guy was lacking in scruples, and for not getting off their arses to start grass roots campaigns.

This is not Obama's fault. It's your fault.

Really, what would you consider his greatest achievement during his presidency so far?

you have no idea what you're talking about... you wanna see FAR LEFT look at Sweden.

America will NEVER be like that...

Obama isn't a socialist.... he's hardly even liberal...

this is the kinda looney opinion you get from just believing FOX and Rush and Beck.

He's saved the US economy from completely tanking, he's trying to be bipartisan, he's able to speak in complete sentences, he's taking on healtcare reform... He's trying to close GITMO, he's ACTUALLY focusing on AFG, he's work with our international partners, not just bullying them, he's trying to stand up a bit to Israel...

All of that is good.

For the record, I think he's wildly centrist and nowhere near the daring leader we need to save America... and he was never my first choice... but he's better than our most recent C-Student man-boy President.

If Obama is evil it could only be because he has demons in his administration like Rahm Emanuel. As such Obama is as evil as the next guy but only because of hype and the medias intentionally creation of Obama's abilities to lead this great nation.

Incompetence is indeed a good observation and Obama fits the bill, but it's not the stupid incompetence that we so often find among idiots and retards. Obama's incompetence stems from not understanding what he is doing. Since he is being told exactly what to do, what to say and when to say it, we can assume that Obama has no real ability to communicate without the teleprompter.

Lastly I would state that Obama is both evil and incompetent. Just not at the same time.

Good posting, because it got me to thinking. Thanks.

He's saved the US economy from completely tanking,

No, he didn't... he sung it's eulogy.

he's trying to be bipartisan

Once, when I was 5, I *TRIED* to stick to walls like spider man.... is this an achievement?

he's able to speak in complete sentences

And this impresses you?

he's taking on healtcare reform...

Im going to WIN THE LOTTERY!

Can I borrow $5000 from you, if I pay you back $20,000 with my lottery winnings?

Or do you not consider the "Promise" of something, the actual thing?

He's trying to close GITMO

Once again... TRYING to do something, is not an acheivement.

he's ACTUALLY focusing on AFG

Ok, Im lost.... whats AFG (Im probably going to feel stupid when I hear the answer)

he's work with our international partners, not just bullying them

Our "International Partners" no longer fear the United states, because of the economic collapse.

He can't "Bully" them, so the only tactic available is negotiating...

This does not shine brightly on him... it is merely the logistics of the situation.

he's trying to stand up a bit to Israel...

Trying, is not an ACCOMPLISHMENT.

For the record, I think he's wildly centrist and nowhere near the daring leader we need to save America... and he was never my first choice... but he's better than our most recent C-Student man-boy President.

All things considered... that is not an achievement either.

Nor is it difficult.

Or commendable.

I do believe he is sincere in his intentions.I think he is attempting to mold a policy that will benefit the youth of today and not the adults of today.

The politicians in power tend to forget that the children will someday be old enough to vote.

I did not vote for him and I think he was to inexperienced for the task.

Not incompetent but just extremely ignorant.

There is a difference from just showing up and voting,"present" and being the head decider.

I think he is going to have serious health issues from the stress he is showing every time we see him.

Probably ending wandering around the white house late at night talking to the portraits on the wall.
